Where do you (Canadians) buy your tickets to WDW?

I'm confused (as usual)-let's say we wanted 6 day expiring hoppers with plus - 1. Are there 2 or 4 pluses with these?
2. From the chart it looks like the Premium with no expiry is
cheaper than the expiring one?
3. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the
Premium and park hopper with pluses regular ticket?
4. Does the chart include taxes?
5. Does it make sense to purchase the non expiry premium hopper
with pluses from Orlando Vacations (they seem to be $125 less
than any other one). Has anyone used them-opinions please?

amw-any problems with ticketmania? I would like to order tickets today while the rate is relatively decent.

I've bought from Ticketmania twice, and would do so in a minute....if only I won a lottery. :rotfl: Great service!

I had absolutely no problems with Ticketmania. The tickets arrived speedily, and in the package Ticketmania also sent a small Disney brochure, a local coupon book, and what I thought was a nice touch -- they photocopied the backs of all the passes for you.

If you subscribe to the mousesavers newsletter, you get a link for a few dollars off. The newsletter comes out on the 15th of each month.

I saw that the dollar closed at 83 cents tonight (I bought at 79 and still saved a chunk of money!) :)

Thanks for the replies-This will be my task of the day!

I'm trying to figure this out myself right now. Here's what I think the answers are to your questions:

1. 2 pluses
2. I see where you are referrring too - must be a problem with the spreadsheet.
3. There's no difference. A regular (base) ticket that has hopping and plusses added to it = the premium ticket.
4. Looks like yes, taxes are included, based on the #'s I was looking at (at least for ticketmania).
5. Pretty sure that's an error - same item as question #3.

We purchase ours at the Disney Store at Fairview Mall (in Toronto). Only takes a couple of days (for them to order them and get them in the store)and we get our vouchers in our hands. We bought them last fall before the prices went up and the Canadian dollar was higher. A nice added feature is that buying them up here, we don't pay any taxes on them (no PST, no GST and no Fla state tax).

I'm trying to figure out how to go about buying tickets at the Disney Store.

-Does "voucher" mean that we don't get the actual tickets at the store? Do we need to redeem the voucher after arriving at WDW?

-Also, does anyone know if they sell 10 day tickets at the Disney Store in Canada? Based on above it looks like the Disney Store has to "order" the vouchers/tickets.

I have just purchased 6 day premium expiring tickets with taxes and free shipping. There are 4 pluses on a 6 day. Will let you know how long it takes to receive them through ticketmania.

Hi everyone,
We are currently planning our first Christmas at WDW and have decided to drive.
We have driven in the Fall a couple of years ago and although it was a long haul we had a great time.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience driving the I77/79/95 route in December or January and could give any insight... I do realize that the weather is pretty sketchy but I know my Canadian friends could advise me since we all have some experience and a little snow does not scare us!

thanks everyone!
Kristin

Don't kid yourself -- you are paying the 6.5% Florida tax in the price of the tickets purchased through Canadian Disney Stores. The advertising pamphlet detailing the prices of the ticket options spells this out very clearly. No surprise that neither provincial nor federal taxes are levied -- the ticket won't be used in Canada so no tax is applicable.

I did a quick analysis of the MYW prices from CDN Disney stores earlier this year and found the prices to be significantly higher than tickets available through Florida ticket brokers such as Ticketmania or Maple Leaf Tickets.

I will happily continue to purchase from Ticketmania or Maple Leaf Ticket.

YMMV.

With the new ticket otions we prefer the 10 day tickets we go for 2 weeks a year and only do 5 park days so the new 10 day is great. We used to buy ours at the Disney store but they don't sell the 10 day so we will now purchase when we get to the resort.

We used ticketmania last time with a discount from signing up for the mousesavers newletter. (www.mousesavers.com)

The tickets had free shipping to Canada and came with a set of photocopies of the tickets in case you ever lose one. We were very happy with the customer service there. Also at the time they had tickets which are not available directly through Disney. (we got 5 day park hoppers with 4 plus options) I don't know if they still offer different tickets, but they are cheaper than Disney.
