Last time I went to WDW for my honeymoon bought my tickets from expedia. I got the 5 days for 4 deal. Was only there a week. This trip we are there from Sept 8th -20th. Have more things we want to do & have some days to just relax & do nothing. Looking at doing 6 day hopper from Disney, Expedia, undercover tourist. Expedia seems to be the cheapest. If I buy not from Disney how does the ticket work with the magic band?

Undercover Tourist is a popular choice. Tickets bought from there can be linked to MDX like any Disney one can. I cannot speak for Expedia, but I expect it is similar if not the same.

I bought mine from Orbitz using Ebates. We're staying off site. From what I gather, you link the tickets to your MDE account and when you get the bands link them, then your good.

Bought our 3 day base tickets through Orbitz using Ebates. Got an $82 cash back too. I was able to link those tickets to our Disney resort reservation. The tickets show up on our reservation.

For a Nov. '14 trip, I purchased my ticket fro Undercover Tourist in Jan. or Feb. Happily, although I had ordered after Disney increased their prices, I paid the pre-increase price.

Later DS decided to join me so I got a ticket for him at my local AAA, because they had the best price.

We both have linked our tickets on DME without difficulty.

i use mapleleaftickets.

similar to undercovertourist but i found them first (and the prices are about the same), so i keep using them. sometimes the allears email newsletter includes a code for a small additional discount.

This year DH bought vouchers for tix from parksavers which ended up being the expedia voucher/tix. I was very skeptical but it seems to be alright so far. The transaction came with instructions on how to get them linked to magic bands by calling Disney, which my husband did and the tix are showing up on MDE (our trip is in Nov./Dec). He was on hold for 20 mins so it wasn't horrible. These tix were something like $60/$80 less, overall, than Undercover Tourist for our whole family.

Last year/prior to MDE we purchased from Undercover Tourist and it was pretty easy, too. I know that Undercover Tourist is an authorized dealer for WDW so I felt pretty comfortable.

I buy from Undercover Tourist.

Sending you a pm.

We bought from UCT last time and it was great - with mailing to Canada.

We bought a 7 day ticket with the Water park option. Once there I just added the extra day I needed.

But now - with the advent of FP+ adding a day while done there locks me out of making FP+ reservations in advance for that one day - which sucks.

Unfortunately UTC does not sell an 8 day ticket with the water park option.

Buying an 8 base ticket from UTC and adding the water park option costs me a bunch more $$.

The "Official Ticket Centre" sells the 8 day ticket + water park and they are the cheapest (with the Touring Plans link) - but they won't ship to Canada!!!

MapleLeaf tickets doesn't sell the 8 day + water park!!!

I guess I will look at Expedia and see what I can find and what the prices are like.

I usually buy from Undercover tourist, but I checked my dates in the park and it looks like the official ticket center will be slightly cheaper. Anyone buy from them?

you mean from disney? i'm guessing you haven't factored in taxes...

I am also wanting to know- i have looked at Undercover Tourist. . . we are not member's of AAA so not sure about that. . . I am interested to check out the other options listed.
My biggest concern is geting our fast passes linked to our tickets. . is this hard to do without going directly through disney???

No.

Buy your tickets in advance. They will be mailed to you. Take the ticket and link it to your MDE account.

Book FPs.

Just make sure you buy an actual RFID ticket (like UC sells) and not a "voucher" that you have to redeem at the park entrance.

I just bought 3 day hoppers from USSSA, GREAT deal.
