where do you buy your Disney gift cards?

We are in VT and there aren't any stores I know of that sell them. The closest Target is almost 2 hours away.

I'm saving for food money and so far have ordered my gift cards from disneyshopping.com, which will hopefully pay off because I now have the premier Visa and will get more points for purchasing via Disney directly.

Are there perks that I may be missing by purchasing gift cards somewhere else?

Walgreens has them if that's more conveniently located to you. Grocery stores often have them, too.

I buy ours at Kroger... right now they're doing a 4X fuel points for gift card purchases, so it's a good opportunity to stock up a little bit. They finally got back in the gift cards where you can load any amount (rather than the $25 cards only) I also pay for the gift cards w/ the Disney Visa to get the Disney dollars..... :thumbsup2

If you buy them at a grocery store and have signed up for the Chase Freedom quarterly bonus, you can get 5% cash back April-June. :thumbsup2

We buy them from our synagogue's gift card fundraising program. We don't get any discount on the cards but the synagogue gets 2% back for every card sold. We buy a lot of gift cards through this program as it is a great way to raise money but doesn't actually cost us anything. If anyone wants to help the cause, just let me know. ;)

Do you have a Shaws by you? Our Shaws in Berlin has them. Or if you're close to West Leb, I know they have them at their Shaws too. Also, Price Chopper is offering double points on Visa gift cards, so I'm going to be converting some of my cash I was going to spend at Disney to buy some at PC and maximize my gas points (as long as they don't come with a charge - I haven't bought any there yet).

The giant eagle chain of grocery stores offers .10 for every $50 spent towards fuel perks. That .10 builds up to save on gas. The GE owns get-go gas stations. I just filled my car and three 5 gallon cans ( i actually squeeze 6 gallons in each) for free, you can get up to 30 gallons free. Which will fill our second car and we'll have a 5 gallon can of gas in reserve. I bought more cards and now have $2.44 off my next purchase of gas. The $ doesnt expire until May.
I'm paying for 3 WDW trips and 1 DCL cruise all with GCs. I'm not paying for gas the rest of this year:rotfl2:

The huge catch in that is that the 5% reverts back to 1% as soon as you spend $1,500 at grocery stores in those months. Many people spend that much in normal groceries, so for those people, there is no benefit to buying the Disney Gift Cards at grocery stores beyond the 1% cash back.

There is no limit to the 5% off at Target though, so edge Target Card over Chase Freedom for Disney Gift Cards.

My am ex blue cash preferred gives an unlimited 6% on groceries :cool1: (and 3% on gas and department stores, 1% on everything else). There's a $75 annual fee :headache: but the amount I spend annually on groceries still makes this card worthwhile. Beware that some grocery stores like Giant don't take am ex.

My SuperG/Giant will not count gift cards toward gas rewards.
