Where do you buy Vera Bradley?

For awhile I was Vera Bradley obsessed! Seriously I had so many bags, wallets, umbrellas, duffles, rolling luggage, pj pants, watches, etc...

DH told me I had to start selling some of the ones I didn't use before getting anymore cause there was no more room for them!

I sold a lot on Ebay and made good money too! I love Vera Bradley and all my things have lasted and worn well. I even washed a few of my bags and they came out beautiful. I've never had anything break or get a hole or rip in it. I would buy most of them at my local Hallmark store and on their website, also at a local store. Then the outlet opened which is located only 15 mins from my house! I still have some bags & wallets and all my luggage which still looks new. I haven't bought a new item in about a year(I moved on to Coach and Disney Dooney & Burke) but that will change with the new Disney patterns! I need some of those!!

As for discounts... I have gotten some when patterns were on sale or if there was a sale online at thier site or sometimes they would have a special offer where if you spent a certain amount you got a free item.

I have gotten several online on sale through Vera Bradley. Then I have found several on eBay, thrift stores and the Vera Bradley Outlet store in Orlando.

Ugh, thanks for posting the Disney versions. Now....do I buy what I want now without the disney patterns, or wait until OCTOBER! Decisions, decisions. Think I will buy a wristlet now on sale or on Ebay to try it out. The colors are usually a bit much for me and I think that's why I've never given their stuff much of a second look. Will look for something more muted and see if I like it. Then I will decide if I have to have a Disney version.

Have you checked out the Disney Dooney and Bourkes? WARNING very addictive lol. Sometimes you can find a used one via one of the Dooney groups or Ebay. I really don't care for the VBs. The patterns are just way too busy IMHO. But I'll admit I will give the new Disney patterns a look

I bought a tote and a turn-lock wallet all for the price of the wallet !

I need a hipster for our Disney trip.... but now that I am seeing the Disney pattern, I might have to wait until I get there to buy one.

Well considering they are made and based outta the city I live in, pretty much anywhere around here. Infact, their diaper bags are given away as special gifts by the hospitals after you have a baby. Once a year here, they have a crazy discount sale that you have to buy tickets for. Women elbow, push, and tackle their way in. It is quite crazy. I usually am a Coach girl, but I do have a few Vera Bradleys. They are really durable and, the best part is, if the kids get something on one I can throw it in the washer.

You live in China?!?! That's where Vera is produced now, not Indiana. That being said, I still like their bags, and have a few of them. I've bought at the Vera store (not convenient though since its not close), the website, and eBay for a couple of retired bags/patterns that I like.

How does the birthday coupon work? Mine is next month, and I want a Get Carried Away tote for all of the stuff I carry to work. (Carrying 2 bags, plus a lunch bag is unwieldy!) Does it have to be used in store, or is it online too?

OP - the key to buying Vera Bradley at a decent price is to be patient and not get hooked on having to have just one pattern. Labor Day weekend, I bought a wallet, a hipster and a make-up bag for $58. Everything was in a sale pattern and there was an extra 25% off that weekend. I also had a $20 coupon they sent me because I hadn't shopped with them lately. I had to add the make-up bag, which worked out to be $6 or $7, to get up to $75 for the coupon and free shipping.

Don't forget to go through Sunshine Rewards, My Points or something and get a few dollars in your account, too! My $58 Labor Day purchase also yielded $2.34 in my Sunshine Rewards account.

sherry7 - I love my Get Carried Away as a weekend bag, but it is HUGE. It's really easy to make it too heavy because it holds so much. I bought it at 60% off, so it was under $40.

Dillard's (in Texas) had a some on sale/clearance for 30% off. I found a on the go purse for $49, it is a good idea not to get hooked on one pattern.

I'm pretty picky about how my Veras look. I want the pattern placed just so. I almost always buy from 2 locally owned stores. They both have great selections and I can see exactly what I'm getting.

From time to time, I order from the website. Just last week, I got a Grand Traveler at a super price, free shipping and a free umbrella! I've wanted a Grand Traveler for so long! The pattern was on sale 40% off!
