Where do you buy checks?

I reordered checks a couple of weeks ago and couldn't believe the price increase. Does anyone know of a good place to buy checks at a reasonable price?

We get ours free from the credit union, but I used to buy them from a mail order company. I can't remember the name of the place, but I first saw their ad in a Sunday newspaper insert. They had tons of choices and were very inexpensive.

I think the company I ordered from is called Checks Unlimited.

I had always just gotten them from our bank in the past, and for a few years they were free, but recently started charging for them again and their price was ridiculous, so I switched. Got 4 boxes from them for the price of 1 from the bank!!

They did make an error on our account number, so I just called them and they overnighted 1 new box to me and then sent 3 more by regular mail at no extra charge.

I will definitely order from them again next time I need checks.

I tend to hop from company to company in order to get the "new customer" rate. This last time I ordered from Styles Checks, and I was pretty happy with them. Word of caution, if you have moved in the past 6 months, you may have to get a letter from your bank verifying all your info. We moved last November and it took an extra week for us to get our checks due to the run around on this. BTW ~ this company has real nice J.R.R. Tolkein checks if you like LOTR.

Look in the coupon section of your Sunday paper for flyers from some of the online companies...they usually have "new customer" rates. My last order was 4 boxes of Mickey Mouse checks for a grand total of $16.50!! I never buy from the bank....$12/box!!

I usually get ours from the bank, but have also noticed an increase. I think I'll do some checking before it's time to order again. Thanks for the information everyone shared.

I just ordered DH's checks 2 boxes for $13, they are duplicates too. Great price! I pulled the flyer out of the Sunday paper(in the coupon section) that had a code on it for free shipping. I threw the flyer away. They were here in 8 days after I ordered them online.

I get them from my bank. In the banking club I'm in there, I get them for free (they're plain janes though).

Last time, I ordered two boxes of checks from the bank, not realizing how much they have inflated the price recently. $50 for two boxes! This time, I ordered from Checks Unlimited - $20 for two boxes. Why do banks have to gouge their customers any way they can?

My Dh, My parents or I have used all above companies and been happy. My current checks came from colorfulimages.com. I got address labels and not pads from them also.
