We are taking DD (4) to DL for the first time on Friday. Where can we pick up one of the "1st visit" buttons I see little ones wearing in some of the photos?

Thanks!

You can get them at DL City Hall. When you walk into DL you will go to your left and you'll see City Hall right next to the Fire Station. They are so nice in there! Welcome to our favorite place!!!! You'll love it!

The buttons (1st Timer, Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, etc) can also be gotten, usually with a much shorter wait than at City Hall, at the Attraction Time Wait board, near the Hub/Central Plaza at Disneyland, on the Plaza Pavilion side....

I did not know that. Do you know if that goes for Disney World too?

We just returned from our DL trip yesterday and we were able to get "1st Visit" buttons for both our kiddos at City Hall. The gentleman that helped us was so friendly and my kids were delighted to get the buttons!

Does anyone know if you can get the buttons in DCA? Our first day in the park will be DD's 9th Birthday and we are spending the day in DCA!

Most stores have the buttons..
You can try getting on from DCA at the 'will call area'. The will call is on the left hand side of DCA. Behind the big 'C'..

We got them at the entrance to DCA. The CM who scanned our tickets, asked the kids if if was their first visit, and gave them all buttons.

We have only received buttons (not pins like trading pins, but circular buttons with a safety pin type back) for those things (1st visit, honorary citizen, birthday, anniversary). But I have heard that if they run out of a button, then they might hand out stickers. Or that they used to be stickers (but in 3 years of visiting during the off-season, we have only received buttons).

Does anyone know what all the buttons they offer are? I have a first visit button, and a happy anniversary one, but I'd love more! lolpirate:

They couldn't give us enough pins when we took our DD for her first visit. When we picked up tickets at will call, the CM asked us if it was her first time and gave us one.

Then later at the Christmas store in Frontier Land, my Mom made a comment that it was her grand-daughter's first time and the cashier gave us another pin! :thumbsup2 I guess it never hurts to be vocal about anything special going on with your group in front of a CM!

Then again in Tomorrowland a CM bowed to DD and said, "Your majesty..." He asked if it was her first time and offered a pin, but by then we decided to be honest and refused the third one.

We're leaving Sunday!!!

DS now has 3 or 4 Honorary Citizen buttons. The first was from last year when I went to get MY birthday button. They asked if it was his first time, and I said "no, but the first time he'll probably remember". I don't know if they were being sticklers or were just out, but they compromised by giving him an HC button. This trip he got two from CMs...once b/c he was knocked down by a bigger kid in a waterplay area, and the CM wanted to help him stop crying. The second time was b/c he was being so chatty and happy, waiting for fireworks and "helping" the CMs rope off the IASW viewing area, AND he had told them his sad story of bad, non-Disney, pirates taking his new pirate hat. So along with some other things, a CM gave him the HC button. Thankfully he was just so happy to get another button he didn't tell anyone "oh I have one", LOL.

We went on Peter Pan, and they asked if this was our first time on the ride. Yes, it was, actually! But instead of first time on PP buttons, they gave First Visit buttons. :confused3

There are also TT Morning Madness buttons (we have something like 7 b/c they were practically tossing them into the crowd, LOL).

We have many, many buttons right now...
