Where do picky men eat?

So all you picky men (or women with picky DH's!)... where do you like to eat at WDW?

Right now we have three ADR's we will not be changing (they all sound good to him): LTT, Tony's, and Le Cellier. Our last night is up in the air..

My soon-to-be-DH is not much of a foodie. He's very much a steak-and-potatoes type of guy, would put A1 on everything if he could, etc. Neither of us are seafood fans. He's willing to try things that are a LITTLE different, but for example nothing at Cali Grill or Kona really appeals to him.

Let me know some good suggestions! I've been going through all the menus posted on allears, but I wouldn't mind a few Disers' opinions! I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

What do you like? It should be possible to get something that appeals to you both...I have something in mind, but need more info. Also are there any others dining with you?

Since you mentioned "meat and potatoes", I'm assuming he's like my DH and will pretty much order steak everywhere it's available. My DH loves LeCellier. He also liked Coral Reef's steak, and Grand Floridian Cafe's steak. Kona is always excellent, breakfast or dinner. And a lot of buffets at WDW are really very good. Not like buffets anywhere else I've been, anyway. Much better choices, and lots of them have carving stations.

Ok .. I'm as picky as they come and have a slew of things I just will never eat, I'm not crazy things can't touch anymore though

Pretty much every nice sit down restaurant will have some sort of steak or chicken. You can also ask for things to be served sans (whatever you don't like) .. for example I can't mushroom sauce on steaks so they often ask if I'd like a demi sauce or I'll ask for a bottle of A1.

I've had nice meals at these places, so nicer then others:

Narcossee's - outstanding food and service
Cali grill (the teriyaki beef is incredible)
Wolf gang puck (killer mashed potatoes) - upstairs is one of the best steaks I've had in awhile
Portbello YC - great mix of pasta / meats
Mamma Mia's - typical italian stuff .. think Olive Garden
Earl of Sandwich - great sandwich shop
ESPN Zone - any place with that many tv's and wings is good in my book

I have to comment on the buffets .. while they do have a nice selection being picky I don't try much of it and often just eat a lot of a couple things so I don't feel I get a good value due to that.

Raglan Road in DTD might work for you. They basically have pub food.

You might try Tutto Italia in Epcot too. Really good Italian food.

I can eat what he eats--I'm a huge steak fan! I'm pretty much like him, but I'm able to go a little more adventurous!

My DH and his dad are very picky, very meat and potatoes kind of guys. We've eaten at a variety of different places and had a lot of success. Aside from the restaurants you mentioned and other mentioned, we've eaten at a lot of buffets, Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, and Hollywood and Vine. There was always something they wanted and enjoyed. DH also like Whispering Canyons Cafe.

Take a look at the Grand Floridian Cafe menu. Basic, yet bit more variety for you. A little quieter and off the beaten path a bit for a final night dinner.

Hollywood and Vine is a pretty basic buffet as well. The most basic buffet probably is Trails End at the Fort Wilderness Campground. Keeping with that theme you could also consider Hoop Dee Doo Review, 2TS, but is a show, dinner and includes wines, Bud Light and the gratuity.

All that said my original suggestion was Boma. There is a recent Review with Photos from ArmyWive3-4. We loved this place, but you'll have to get a feel for yourself.

My husband suggests Kona Cafe at the Polynesian....he absolutely loves the Beef Terriyaki. It's served with yukon gold smashed potatoes. He dreams of it. Seriously.

As a neurotically picky eater myself, I say buffets (good quality ones) are a fool proof option. There is so much to choose from, even I cant complain. As a bonus, there is plenty to eat for my DH, who always teases my ** boring palate (sp?)**

Just a warning -- the steak we had a Tony's a week or so ago was not good -- too tough and full of gristle.

Don't picky (and non-picky) men love the ESPN Club? Wings, sliders, beer, sports ... what's not to love?

my bf is always a fan of good burger. i have heard that beaches and cream and sci fi are good for these.

I would recommend ESPN or Whispering Canyon. DH loved them both!

Thanks everyone! I showed soon-to-be-DH this thread, and I brought up some of the menus. Grand Floridian Cafe was close, but in the end he decided he'd be happiest on our last night with a trip over to ESPN Club, which is fine with me because that means we can spend some time roaming around the Boardwalk!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. Last night, he even mentioned that we can try some of those on our.... wait for it.... NEXT TRIP! Whoohoo!! We haven't even gotten to WDW and already he's wanting to go again! I knew I was marrying him for a reason!

An Epcot option that will have a slight adventure to it would be Biergarten.
I don't think the adventure is too big... just enough to be different.

This is the buffet style restaurant located in Germany.

The atmosphere is great and there is live entertainment.
