Keep in mind that each meets thread sets their own criteria for FE's, so there really are no set 'rules'.
Also, you do not 'need' to have a real FE like the ones pictured in the threads that are linked. In reality, you can use any kind of bag to hang from your fish.

FE's are meant to be fun and not to break the bank for participants.
