Do I need to go to one of the places in DTD or can I do that at a regular ticket window? We're leaving tonight and I don't want to screw up and then have us be an hour late for MK!

We have Seasonal Passes and want to put the vouchers towards upgrading to APs. I know once I had to go to DTD to upgrade a regular ticket to an AP, but I was able to activate my AP voucher at the theme park window.

Thanks!

You can upgrade your GAD voucher to an AP, but you can't use your GAD voucher to upgrade a ticket you already have to an AP. Am I reading right that you want to upgrade a seasonal pass you already have to an AP? You can't apply the value of a second ticket (the GAD ticket) to a ticket to upgrade - you can only upgrade one ticket to another, not combine two, with the only exception I know of being upgrading a MYW ticket and a water park ticket to a MYW ticket with WPFM.

GAD vouchers have to be redeemed at Will Call (or Guest Relations if Will Call is not open) at one of the four main parks - not at resorts, DTD, or water parks.

After redeeming your GAD voucher for a ticket, enter the park using that ticket and upgrade that ticket to become an AP at Guest Relations just inside.

Or you can wait until later (not more than 13 additional days later) and do the upgrade at any park or at Downtown Disney.

If your Seasonal passes have a long time to go before they expire, you would probably be better off getting fastpasses instead of admissions from your GAD voucher, and upgrade the Seasonal passes as a separate transaction (or don't bother).

I've moved this thread to the Promotions and Celebrations board. :)

Whoa - this changes my whole plan! I thought I had read the rules correctly, but I guess not. So I can't use the GAD voucher to upgrade a seasonal AP to an annual AP. :sad2: Shoot - now I don't know what we're going to do. Our SAP's won't work as of Saturday and we were hoping to go to the parks Sat. & Sun. I guess we can only do one day now.

Sorry! :headache: Last year for the birthday promo, you could get a gift card instead of the one day ticket if you had a multi-day ticket, and some people used that to upgrade tickets that they had. Blackout dates for admission for GAD vouchers start on 3/29 and continue through April 8, so you can use them for admission before Monday, or you can use them to get fastpass cards if you decide to upgrade your seasonal pass anyway.

Thanks. No, we weren't going to upgrade anyway. We don;t usually ike to go int he summer, but I thought for this deal it would have been nice to go for a quick 3 day trip. I could always put it towards a new 3 or 4 day ticket and just use those for the summer, but I'm not positive we're going and I don't want to have to pay the no expiration prices.

We leave in 3 hours - I need to do some quick researching so I know what to do on Saturday morning!!

Enjoy your trip! Even one day at Disney is better than none. You can upgrade your GAD ticket to a two day ticket to do the parks for the weekend - you will get $79 credit for the adult tickets and $68 for the kids. A two day ticket is almost as expensive as two one-day tickets, though.

Thank you! We fell lucky that we get to go a few times this year, so I can't really complain. I just thought I had it planned out so perfectly! :scared1: We are meeting our best friends from NH in Disney tonight - we'll do the parks with our APs Thur. & Fri. then use the GAD vouchers for Saturday. We were only going to get a 1/2 day in on Sunday anyway .

Oh well, this saves some money in our budget, I can plan another weekend trip now!! :rotfl:
