Just read this whole thread...the one that was listed that would have made me lose my cool was John Cleese. It would take every ounce of my being not to should out Monty Python quotes.
(Oh, who am I kidding? I can't go one day without a MP quote, and that's without seeing any of them in person!)
You read so many stories of celeb's being stuck up and rude. Sometimes they have a right to be upset but so often they act like jerks. What Cher did in the story was First Class. She sprinkled Pixie Dust on the people on the elevator and went out of her way to do so. She did not have to do what she did. It was classy. Cost her nothing but a few minutes of time and made some people very happy and gave them a great story.
Picking up the tab was NICE.
The Cher story is one of the best WDW stories I have read.

We saw Julie Andrews at Boardwalk Inn when she was at WDW for Walt Disney's 100th birthday celebration.
I saw Gary Cole checking into Beach Club while we were there a few years ago.
I made Julie Andrews a cup of hot tea when I worked at the Disney Store in New York City (many years ago). She was doing a book signing with her daughter.

How...appropriate!!! lol. Of COURSE Mary Poppins drinks tea. This is someone I would absolutely crumble in front of. She's practically perfect in every way!

I've posted this before, but thought I would again. Years ago we saw Princess Diana and her sons. Yes they were staying at the GF. We heard she requested the pink monorail and I remember waiting a long time (we were at the Poly) for one to come. We caught a glimpse of them at the MK. Another strange part of this story was that years later we were at the GF having dinner. My daughter and I were talking about how we saw Princess Diana and her two Princes etc etc. Well, when we got back to OKW my daughter came running into our bedroom screaming that Princess Diana was dead, she had just heard it on tv. We were in shock. It was very weird that we had just been talking about her. From what I read she was a wonderful mother and loved her two sons very much. Obviously she tried very hard to give them great experiences and memories.
Biggest star we've ever seen at WDW was in 2006: Bear in the Big Blue House...I mean the REAL BEAR (Noel MacNeal), in character TALKING to the kids at the YC. I thought my DS was gonna pass out doing the Bear Cha Cha Cha with him!!!!
