Where did you go on your first date with your partner?

April 19, 1995. Yes, the day of the Oklahoma City bombing.

My wife and I took a walk around the city's historic district, ate dinner at a little cafe, and watched "A Walk in the Clouds".

Wait just one daggum second! Wikipedia says A Walk in the Clouds was released in August of 1995. What the hell did we watch? I know we watched this movie together on a date...

I'm single now (and plan to remain that way), but the first date I had with my Ex we went to see Ghostbusters. He had *such* an annoying laugh. I should have known he would get on my last nerve eventually.

Lowe's.

We met at Starbucks for coffee, chatted for a while, and discovered we both needed things at Lowe's which is in the same shopping center.

About two weeks later we went on our first "real" date. Dinner and a stroll in the historic area of Philadelphia.

We saw Wayne’s World on opening day February 14, 1992. Then we had ice cream and both of us went to work. We both worked in restaurants and you can make good money on Valentines Day. He had a friend that worked at the theater and his brother worked at Marble Slab. It was a free date. Instead of me thinking that he was cheap, I thought “Wow, he can get me free stuff!”

Ive been trying to rack my brain since I first saw this post and I can't even remember... :confused3 almost 23 years ago and I have no idea, not even a good guess... I'll have to ask him if he remembers when he wakes up.

Yeah, that's us! I can't recall at all what we did or where we went. I am fairly sure it was early 1991 though:)

We had been bowling with another couple the week before when I met him but our first real date together was a local restaurant. I wasn't sure what we were doing so I ate at home first and only had mozzarella sticks at the restaurant. I was supposed to be home at a certain time (he was 23 and I was 17!). Apparently we went past my mom's work, saw she was still there, and decided we had time to go out to the lake and talk. (I remember going to the lake, I don't remember being late getting home but my mom does...)

To my College Homecoming Football Game and post game dance at my Fraternity. She kind of invited herself.
I went to a private college, away from home, and was in a Fraternity.
She went to a public college, lived at home, and didn't understand the Greek system and was curious about all that.
So part date, part educational opportunity. That was 39 years ago, and we've been married 37 years. She still doesn't understand going away to school or Greek Life, and REALLY doesn't believe that Professors gave out their home phone numbers and listed hours when they could be called at home if students had questions.

July 10, 1999. Dinner at Stuart Anderson's (now gone) then a movie (American Pie where we both laughed at all the same inappropriate things), then mini golf where we had our first kiss. He took me home, and the next day I was checking my messages at work and he had left me the sweetest message telling me how great of a time he had and that he hoped he could see me again. I told the girl I was working with that day that I was going to marry that guy, and on April 28, 2001 I did!

Had 2 first dates as well:

First one was roller skating , which I didn’t do very well...lol. 1984

Second one was a blind date we went to a fall fair type thing. 1993 just celebrated our 25th anniversary

August 1984 - I was just starting my senior year of high school. We went to the County Fair. And yes, he won me a prize, lol. Married now for 34 years.

A Firehouse! And yes you read that right. My husband wanted to be a fireman and spent a lot of time visiting the local firehouse. I was bored after the first couple minutes but stuck it out. He then took me to Jack in the Box for a taco. I was a cheap date as it was my choice. We have been together for 41 years and married 38 so we found some common ground other than fire engines. Sadly he never did become a fireman but he did go into law enforcement.

Fantasmic at DHS. We were both WDW CMs at the time and he had still never seen the show after a couple years of working there!

Then we went to the Polynesian beach to watch the fireworks and eventually got kicked out because we weren’t staying there.
