"Where did you get those shirts?" An August TR, with lots of pics! Updated 10/28!

AHHHH. Arriving at the Polynesian. I thought I was going to burst into tears while reading/watching that. I need to go back ASAP. Tokelau has always seemed like it would be make a great location, so I'm glad to hear that you guys liked it.

And, of course, AHHH MAGIC KINGDOM! Bummer that you only got to see a shortened version of the parade, but I guess some is better than nothing at all.

Can't wait for more! :yay:

YOU'RE AT THE POLY!!! Yaaaay! I love your location, and your towel Mickey! Love the flowers.

Wow, just arrived at Mk and already did HM and POC. I love the new HM ride.

It's great to see the parade people still smiling while walking in the rain.

I'm still not over my abandonment of the Poly!! I need to stay there again as soon as possible!!! Tokelau was a great location!! I requested it before getting there after endless research! We were literally straight up the path from the bus stop and right in the middle of the TTC and the GCH!

I love POC and HM :) I thought the same thing about the people smiling in the rain!!

When we got back to the room, I took these pictures before we tore the room apart (and got under those blankets for some much needed relaxation!)

We hopped on the monorail towards Magic Kingdom so we could hop a bus to AKL for our Boma reservation! I can't say enough how convenient it was to be at the Poly. Not only were we right next to the MK for easy resort hopping--but it was FUN to resort hop because of the monorail!

We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated after about a 10 minute wait--the place was packed!

IMG_0298.jpg

We were seated and immediately attacked the buffet! I always love the soups here and grabbed samples of those. Before I turned around David was already attacking the main buffet! Here is my plate. I never had salmon before and decided to try it--turns out I like salmon! I don't have a pic of Davids plate. It was the sliced beef and lots of chicken nuggets/fries.

and Dessert time!

Our bellies were full, and as much as I hated to leave that most delicious place, we wanted to get back to the magic kingdom.

We had plans to see Yuki (if we crossed with our ADRs about 2 hours apart) but I scanned the lobby and didn't see her so we proceeded to the bus stop. Completely distracted, I look up at the last moment and quickly see a couple walk by. I had a very delayed reaction and went "was that Yuki?" but it was too late! Maybe next time :(

We arrived at MK and I took this picture of our home right across the water (can you tell we were excited to stay here?)

We arrived at Dusk, I just love Disney at dusk--it has such amazing colors especially epoch!

We hopped on Space mountain with our unused FP from earlier.

After an amazing ride through space, we decided to head back to Main street for Wishes (proceeded by the MSEP) but stopped in the pathway from Main street to tomorrowland to try Wishes from a different angle! Tinkerbell flew right over our head!!

IMG_0319.jpg

While we waited with another family, the ducks flew playing in the mud/grass in front of us took off and almost took David's head with them!! We all had a good laugh at that one! Here are some Wishes photos

IMG_0324.jpg

We knew that getting a MSEP spot was going to be a hard one so we made the decision to proceed as far back to the train station as possible and although it seemed impossible as we walked we found 2 sitting spots!! I took some pictures while we waited!

And this wonderful, colorful, glittering show began!

After the show, extra magic hours was beginning so we decided to duck into the Main Street Bakery -- a place that we have never really been!

IMG_0391.jpg

IMG_0392.jpg

We settled on a chocolate croissant and an amazing cinnamon bun!

We left, and got about 10 feet before David realized he didn't have his room key -- it was on the tray that we threw out!! Great! We needed that to get on the rides..so I do the only thing I can think of and thats to dig through the top layer of garbage--yes, garbage--to try and find it. No luck! We realize we aren't too far from the MK anyway, lets go back to the Poly and then return. Well, I decided to check at Guest Services to see if they could replace it--turns out they can!! Sooo i didn't need to dig through garbage at all!

WIth our room keys in hand now we proceeded on going on a few rides like Splash mountain, my personal favorite! We were pooped at around 11 and decided to call it a night. I snapped a few pictures of our journey home, including some beautiful pool shots.

I can't help but post the end part of our monorail trip <3

David found an exciting thing about our trip--he loved that the doors to the Tokelau building only opened when you inserted the room key! Here is a video!

Love the updates!!! So many of my favorite places... Poly, Boma, CHH, Main Street Bakery... MMMMmmm!!

I really am not surprised the shirts were such a hit! The brother/sister thing is a really cute idea and design wise they are just nice to look at. Great job!!

I loooooove this pic!! http://i873.photobucket.com/albums/ab295/n_laskin/tripreport/IMG_0369.jpg

Too bad you didn't meet up with Yuki. I so badly want to have a DIS girls meet up someday!! Of course your bro and Yuki's DBF can come too though ;)

Those are Jill's two favorite Main Street Bakery items.
Boy, how I would love to reach into your picture this morning and grab something from that case to take to school. :)

I am enjoying the video clips.
Being the claustrophobe that I am, however, I am so glad that you stopped the last one before we got onto the elevator. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great evening! Again I love the video of the monorail ride. One of my favorite things about the Polynesian was getting back at night. I always loved the tiki torches. Awww I miss it there. :sad1:

I've never been to Boma before, but the food looks yummy. What kinds of soup do they have? I'm a big soup enthusiast. :)

AH! I love your pic of the photographer on Main Street. I mean, it's so simple, but there's something so wonderful about it.

OMG. GIANT CINNAMON ROLL. I WANT ONE SO BADLY RIGHT NOW!!!

I love walking around the Polynesian at night. It's so calm compared to the craziness that is the theme parks around closing. I need to figure out a way to live at the Polynesian. Like, for serious.

This absolutely needs to happen.

Your desserts at Boma look so yummy!
I  the Main Street Bakery. It's a great place to start EMH.
Good to know that room keys can be replaced at Guest Services.

P.S. i love the shirts! you've inspired me to possibly make some for my next visit :lmao:

Boooo, I'm so sad we never got to meet up. Would've been so cool!!!

Ahh, the MK during Evening EMH is truly a wonderful thing. That cinnabun is just drool worthy.

Sucks about the KTTW scare, but glad to know Guest Services can replace it! We'll keep that in mind if we ever lose ours in a park.

It is really too cool that the doors open with the room key. So cool. Really sci-fi.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just reach into photos and grab things?? You wouldn't have liked this elevator. It was always hot and very small :scared1:

That was our favorite thing too, just walking around with the tikis -- so peaceful! I miss it!!

Boma is FANTASTIC and they have different soups each time i've been, but they usually have a seafood stew, a delicious butternut squash, and one time they had muligatawny which is AMAZING.

For some reason I have so many pics of photopass photographers! Especially from just sitting around waiting--they seem to always be around!

This was my first MSB experience but it won't be my last!!

David had a blast opening the doors with his key and if I set them off and they opened on their own he would get upset :rotfl: Oh, the little things. Its too bad we didn't get to meet up :( Maybe next time!
