Congrats! and :bday:

I thought that the Brazilian tour groups were all there in January with us?!? It made sense to me since they were in their summer in January.

Keep up the good work with the report. Still enjoying... popcorn::

Thank you for the B-day well wishes.

No the Brazillions were there in full force...also at Epcot the 2nd time...and HS.

I need to try this pinapple bar that you speak of...do they only sell it at the AK ??
The Pineapple bars were at every Park except the Magic Kingdom...also had one in DTD...later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY:cake:......Late, but hey it's the thought that counts.:confused3

Actually you are right on time as today is just starting here and today is my B-Day. :cool1: Not too happy about the 40 part...but I try not to dwell on that...today is alos my parents 49th anniversary...I was a anniversary baby...I hear they tried to return me. :lmao:

Welcome to the 40 and over club Nate! It is not too bad LOL. I am still in denial myself and think that I am still in my 20's but my body is trying to convince me otherwise.:confused3

Happy 40th Birthday. 40's not so bad...wait until you hit the big 50+. :rotfl2:

ehhh? What'd you say sonny? :listen:

You know there's a local airline that charges $39 airfares from Tri-Cities Airport to Sanford FL...but you have to book it a couple of months in advance to get that price....maybe next year. :confused3

Which airline is that? I have snagged $29 fares with Allegiant in the past and they have been great--but you do have to plan ahead!

I guess I misspoke when I said "Local Airline"...it's Allegiant...I meant "local Airport"...had a flight. Tri-cities Regional Airport is about 20 miles from my house...about 10 from work.

WE are flying Allegiant out of Huntington Tri State ina few weeks. Never flown them before but have heard good things. I got the tickets for 49 and figured they would not go lower...they are now 38. Go figure!

Happy birthday and great update! AK has really grown on me--I really didn't like it our first two trips, but then we spent more time there last year and it worked its magic! Our AAA agent told us just to skip Rafiki's Planet Watch and we listened to her the first time; boy was she wrong. It was one of the best parts of the day, I think we spent almost two hours there, counting the train ride time. (Ok, part of that was waiting for the characters to return, but it was still enjoyable.)

I've heard nothing but good things about Allegiant.

AK is Tiny's favorite park. Our 1st visit was back in 2006...my folks had treated us to the trip along with my brother and his family. Shortly after the parade...everyone left the park except for my immediate 4...and I mean really everyone else...we had so much fun from 4-8...only real alone time my family had that trip...we fell in love with the AK.

Oh yeah Whogirl's mom...be sure and bring Whogirl down to Fender's Farm and get lost in the Corn Maze...if it's on the weekend I'll be walking the maze as a Corn Cop. Starts this Friday. That goes for all you people within spitting distance of Northeast Tennessee. :thumbsup2

Well we had just dislocated some Hip joints and had a mild case of whip lash by riding Primevil Whirl...and our time for Everest had arrived.

2006 was our first trip to AK and Everest had just opened...Tiny wanted to ride...everyone else was too chicken but me and my Brother's Wife. Sadly Tiny was too tiny to ride...so it was me an SIL.

2007 Tiny wasn't as tiny and got to ride with me and my wife's sister "Hagatha" and her husband "Big Al"

2009 We convince Mel and Boy to ride...boy he doesn't like Rollercoasters that much...Though he's like Space Mt...He liked Big Thunder Mt. the other night...so he was brave enough to give it a try.

We get a car about a 1/3 of the way back...I tell you what...I've noticed the best seat in most of Disney's coasters is in the very back...anyway when the chain grbs hold of the train for the first big climb...pop!!!! Well that just realigned our backs from the Primevil Whirl...I think my hip went back into socket too. Cool...I really like the part where you go backwards...I always wonder what safety mechanisms they have to insure the track get switched into place...being in the controls business...I'd love to see the inside of some of these rides. When you stop going backwards...and if you ar in the very back...probably the front too...you can see the track switching...a 8-10 foot section of track actually rotates to a new set of rails curving to the right. pretty neat if you get to see it...I didn't see it this ride...but back in 2007...when me and Tiny we're in the rear seats.

We get done with Everest...and we decide to catch It's Tough Being a Bug...my favorite thing about this show is the walk in....getting to se parts of the Tree up close. For some reason the 3d in this show isn't as good as Philharmagic...And I always remember to lean forward when the Wasps attack...as I don't like getting poked in the back... Then we head back to Pizzaffari to grab us a seat for the Jammin' Jungle Parade.

Here's some Pics of that...

Then we Head down to the Lion King Show...I stop at the Ice Cream vendor and grab another one of those Pineapple Bars.

We get seated in the Elephant Section... only one of my Pictures turned out good from the show...and of course his eyes ar shut.

IMG_0302.jpg

This is a really great show...so if you haven't seen it...then go. :thumbsup2

Now it's time to ride the Saffari...

We must have had the most boring driver ever...like a bizzaro cross between Ben Stein and Walter Mathow... anyway most of my Pictures were too blurry...but look who was awake...and we were stopped infront of him for a long time...
IMG_0313.jpg

Funny thing is...our driver says...your lucky he's awake...because Lions spend most of their day sleeping...just then as if on cue...The lion goes "flop" he's gone to sleepy town...:lmao:

Here's who was blocking the Road...
IMG_0315.jpg

Nice Rhinos...please don't charge our bus. :rolleyes1

Anyway we make our way back to catch Nemo...but we tak our time... as we have an hour to kill...I tak a Picture of the back side of the Tree...
IMG_0317-1.jpg

Then we stop at the Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe (Counter service) We all get the Chicken fried Rice...yummy.

We get to Nemo...and close for technical difficulties...This happened to us in 2007 too...whats so technical about some flippin' fish... I'm starting to thin Nemo doesn't like us...they also say no shows for EMH's...oh well.

Gotta go...big thunder storm...power surges...next installment...EMH in AK.

Great photos at AK. We've never done the Nemo show...we're going to try real hard when we are there in two weeks.

I been sitting here with my foot propped up waiting for the next installment popcorn:: It is a good thing your not Don or I would still be waiting :rotfl2:

Well it's extra magic hours time and Tiny and I want to do Everest and Kali River Rapids...Mel and Boy head off to do other things...which i think was looking in shops...

The Everest line is about 20 minutes...which isn't bad...we get in line...I'ts dark so I don't see many Mickey's...There's a case in what appears to be a supply shop...to me there looks like 3 lens cases arranged like a Mickey...sorry gave my camera to Mel so I wouldn't get it wet on Kali.

Tiny and Iget in the next to the last Car...Cool...the Climb was allot smoother...and the ride was better in the dark!!!

Then we head to Kali...Man...we got Drowned...don't know if you've ever been to Kali late...but once you get off and you want to ride again...they will let you circle around where they let the Fast Pass riders in...and get right back on... Tiny and I were dripping wet...after 3 trips...man Florida is cold at night when you are wet. Tiny and I head back to Everest only a slightly shorter line.

We meet Mel and Boy near the Isle Merchantile...and head out. We see the Trolley so we climb on...he makes about 3 last calls for boarding...he had to be the most entertaining Trolley guide ever...they drop everyone off and the last stop is Unicorn...we are the only 4 people left...besides the driver and Guide... he's like y'all are either parked in Unicorn...or...you just like riding the Trolley. We all go whoohooo!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

He notices my San Diego Chargers hat...and ask if we are from SD...we are like nope! We yell out Tennessee...but he can't hear us. After we are dropped off we yell at him again and he gets it. :thumbsup2

It's a short drive back to the CSR...and we actually get to bed before midnight. :cloud9:

Next Episode: A Day of Rest...yeah right!

Well I hope you get to see it...I haven't had much luck in "Finding" Nemo. :lmao:

Chances are your foot would fall off... :rotfl2: :lmao:

And I always remember to lean forward when the Wasps attack...as I don't like getting poked in the back...

Me too neither! Happened once, never again...

Anyway we make our way back to catch Nemo...but we tak our time... as we have an hour to kill...I tak a Picture of the back side of the Tree...

Much more interesting than "the back side of water". ;)

Next Episode: A Day of Rest...yeah right!
