"Where did y'all get those shirts?" Fried, Tie-Dyed, and Places Mickey Hides.

I use Siemens equipment at work....can I use the Golden FP? LOL:confused3
Sorry...it was dated.

If your equipment is a PLC...and they work fine...I tested that.
If they frustrate you and make you want to throw them through the wall...call Germany. :lmao:

WE have 2 Angio rooms that are Siemens and when we have trouble with them (which is rare) we have a German repari man in our area (Wolfram is his name..go figure)...super nice guy and knows his stuff!

Ahhh...Siemens Medical...I'm on the Industrial end of Siemens...we used to have a large Manufacturing facility here in Johnson City which made a broad array of electronics...including Medical stuff...it's all been moved elsewhere now.

Chances are if your favorite Disney ride has been refurbished or built in the last few years...some of our stuff is making the magic. For example Toy Story Mania uses a Position Module that was designed here in TN...basically it's the part that tells the program where you are aiming your gun.

wow, thats great! i always wondered what that was? we could never fiqure it out. my dw thought offices but it realy never made any sense. now we know!! i bet you got the eye using that pass on the rides!!:snooty: that great!!

Very cool about Base 21....just learned something new about Disney!

(by the way...letting you know that I'm lurking...)

Siemens uses it mainly as a place to win and impress customers or potential customers...Keep trying to convince my boss he should hold his weekly meetings down there. :lmao:

Be warned everyone...there are Vikings afoot! Crocko the Terrible leads them!

VIP....very cool:thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing the pics. :goodvibes

I love spaceship earth...it's the ride I like to do first when we go to Epcot...although last time we went it was closed:sad1:....but we got lucky and caught one of the soft openings and got to ride after all:lovestruc....I must say that Soarin' is now a priority for us...i will be sending DH to run for FP's first thing...we have never been on Test Track. So next trip hopefully it will work out and we will get to try it. DD is big enough now that we can all go.

I have been reading trip reports for a little while, now, and was so excited to find this one where the cast of characters stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort.

Our family (DH, 62; myself, 59; DS, 30; and DGD, 9) leave in 8 days for our 10-day stay, and we are staying at CSR. VERY excited!

I'm looking forward to all the future installments of this TR!

That's a pretty good perk from work! Innoventions in DL has some of those interactive walls and mirrors in their House of the Future, very cool stuff.

I have never seen a golden fast pass, how was it different?

Oh, and some of us need the war paint at Belk's.

TIP on Soarin...get there early...get a FP...then Ride it. Test Track is a must do...so DO.

The battle may be different...but it's still war. :thumbsup2

Need to upload som more pics...will update on Monday sometime.

Great update! I never knew about Base 21... that is sooooo waayyyyy totally rockin' cool! My DW was asking what I was looking at that had my mouth gaped open like I was checking out a new sports car or something (I think even a little drool occurred, too).

Your sense of humor has me crackin' up tonight. :happytv: Can't wait for your next installment!

Living vicariously through you anticipating your next chapter.:thumbsup2

Discounts... Secret Rooms... Free Cokes?... Wish my company would sponsor something at Disney!

How cool to get to go into a secret Disney room!
It was neat.

Rumor has it the Test Track is looking for a new sponsor...considering the current sponsor is broke and half owned by the Government. :rolleyes1

Hope to get my next installment sometime this afternoon. :thumbsup2

So we are done with Spaceship Earth and Base 21. Mel has thought about something at Mousegears and want to return and so does Boy.

Tiny and I go off to find the Disney Visa character spot. I never had a Disney Visa until August of last year...so I was pretty much clueless as to where this special location was...so I go to the Exit of the Epcot Character spot and ask the cast member near there...they tell me to turn straight around and go into Innoventions and look for it across from the Segway Training area.

Sure enough there it is...and only one Family in line...my lucky day. they won't tell us who is in the room...so we wait about 5-6 minutes and it's our turn. Here are some of the pictures.

Tiny as he is walking into the room...

Shortly after that he turns around and yells at me...it's Mickey and Pluto!!!

Here he is with them...several...

Then I go over with the gang...

I think that last one is the one we get for free this afternoon...Tiny has it framed in his room. :goodvibes

Also Hidden Mickey folk...check out the back drop for classic Mickey knot holes and profile Mickey wood grains...maybe even a Mickey hand?

We get back to meet Mel and Boy to go to Test Track and try out our VIP Fast Pass...We go thru the Exit store and goto the Desk in the GM Showroom...we figure this is a one time deal...but no we just sign a log and the man tells us we can come back as often as we like...but request that we wait 20 minutes between visits...and we are like...:woohoo: WE LOVE TEST TRACK.

So we are directed to go to the exit ramp and wait at the Stop sign. A cast member tells us to go thru a chain entrance up some steps over the track and down the other side to where the load you...This time we get our own personal car. Mel and Tiny get in front...Boy and I get in the back...and off we go. Tiny is in the "Drivers" seat...and man do I need to have a talk with him.

Anyway we get to the Barrier test and they punch it and out we go to the firt straight-a-way into the first loop...man we are booking...just as we hit the main straight-a-way where you really pick up the speed...screeeeech!!!! :scared1: smoked tires our car just stops...and we are all like...I don't remember this????

The the announcement comes over the loud speaker..."please remain seated...the ride may resume at any moment"...so we wait...and wait...I mentioned how nice and non-Florida like the weather was...today was no exception...partly cloudy...warm...but not too hot...and wait...I see some Maintenance Building off to the right...and a Semi drivng by...we all wave at the driver...he didn't see us...and wait...you know I should get my camera out ant take some pictures...crud...can't reach it...kinda stuck under my seat belt...i thinkof unbuckling...but here's that announcement again...

Then we see these 2 guys coming up the steps just to the front and right of us...and we are like...it's our car isn't it...they go yep! They go behind me and boy and raise the trunk... flip a switch and try to reset something...no good...they go to the front and raise the front assembly...this bring back the window right to the chest of Mel...and Tiny's forehead...they fiddle with some stuff up there...they go back and forth a few time...then radio in something...they tell us that someone will be coming up to escort us out...and they are sorry for the inconvence...we are like not a problem...at least we have a story to tell...about then Mel hears her cell phone ringing...it's her Sister...Mel is like guess where I'm at? Anyway it's the guy who loaded us in the car that comes to get us...we have to walk single file on the edge of the track to get to the stairs. We get to the bottom...and i finally remember my camera again.

This was underneath where our car stalled...

This is the guy leading us back to the building...
IMG_0218.jpg

Almost back...this is the backside of the loop around the building...
IMG_0219.jpg

And the rear entrance...That sign says "GM Conferance Center Entrance"
IMG_0220.jpg

So we are back inside...our escort hands me some re-entry passes date good thru July 31...sweet I'll put these up for our return trip to Epcot in 2 more days. Test track is now closed until they can get our car pushed back into the shop...so we go and see what else we can tear up...

Up next...
Ellen...and Ellen again...

That was a cool Test Track story....not everyone can say they have had that happen. Looking forward to more...I still have plenty of Kettle cornpopcorn::

Maybe that VIP TT pass was to let you see the underside of TT. LOL:rotfl:
