That was such a fun meet and it was so great to meet everyone!!! I had the blood orange and then after you had your clasica I had to order it too!!!! It was so cute!!!! I had a lot of fun talking with everyone and seeing what they had done vacation wise up to that point!
Wow...going outside was quite a shock...it was so nice and cool in the cave I swear the alcohol about knocked me out when we went outside!!! I had to go back to the hotel to swim (and detox before dinner)

I think those are the Crab Tostados. I really want to try them, they look delicious!

I'm not a fan of beans but other than that, I would agree, they look quite tasty (and given how stong the drinks are, not a bad idea to help with the side effects )

I could go for one of those just about anytime, although it is only 8:30 in the morning so perhaps I would wait an hour or two

OK, now I'm glad I'm not the only one who ordered it because it was cute happily, it was delicious too!! I should have gone back for a swim but I had to make sure I got to AK for the parade (man it was HOT!)

Oh Brook, I feel so bad about neglecting my TR but the first couple weeks back at work were rough! It was quite stressful for awhile. I didn't get any training right away on the program and the previous person in this position had zero organization so I have been very busy sorting and straightening it all out! Hopefully, my stress level will continue to go down now that I am getting it all under control!

Day 5 continued

After wrapping up our fantastic Dismeet at the tequila cave, Shelby and I headed back out into the heat of the day. As we were leaving Epcot, she decided she was ready for a break from touring and decided to go back to the hotel for a rest and swim and we made plans to meet up again for our special dinner ADR. At this point I was still feeling pretty good and hopped a bus to my next park

I spent some time wandering around the oasis and watching some of the critters

This guy was quite active and I spend quite a bit of time watching him. I don’t think I realized how big they actually are!

Then I stopped for a quick photopass picture

One of the things I really wanted to do on this trip was to spend more time checking out the tree of life so I started with the front side

For some reason, I just love this elephant! I like the way its trunk extends downward like the waterfall behind it

I think I mentioned before that in our planning of this trip, Beth and I created a touring plan that would allow us to see every parade and nighttime show and today at AK’s turn! I managed to find a small shady patch to wait. My memory of this time was standing there just sweating my patootie off!! I think Shelby and Tracy had the right idea of taking a pool break after our margaritas because it was HOT!!

Finally the celebration began!

I don’t remember ever noticing the birds on the giraffe before

In 2008, Greg loved examining these “vehicles”. He was really impressed with their designs. I remember a CM telling us that they are all human powered yet I’m amazed at how the CM’s inside don’t seem to be working that hard to keep them going. This one is towing other people and still manages a smile on her face!

This stilt walker was having a great time interacting with the crowd

But she must have been feeling the heat too because she took a bit of a break in our shade

I love this one’s tongue!

I guess the variety is one of the things I love about Disney. This parade feels the least Disneyfied to me, I think because it is less character focused. But if I could be in any Disney parade, I would want to be one of these dancers

It has the best music of any parade IMO!!

The Animal Kingdom is my absolute favorite park. I love the parade, too. But I have never noticed the birds on the giraffe either.

WOW you have done something I have never done before, stay for the AK parade. I have been there in the morning and I have been there in the evening but I have never been around for the afternoon parade!!

OY Disney when its hot is HOT!!
