Havent' been to Orlando for 9 years now and remember at universal seeing the "Psyhco" house at the top of the hill - cant see it mentioned anywhere - has it been taken away?

And the Alfred Hitchcock display thing and the audience participation in the shower show - it wasnt very good then so wasnt looking at doing it again.. I expect they've replaced it with something much better!

Also do they still do the singing thing at America in Epcot?

The Psycho house was torn down in 1998-+The Bates Motel torn down in 1999 :sad1: .It was built along with the Bates Motel in 1988-2yrs before the Theme Park opened.I loved this feature+have some great photo's of it with my Nan+Grandad.

Alfred Hitchcock's The Art Of Making Movies(until 2003) is now Shrek4d.I also miss this.x.

Katie are you in for a shock!:lmao: Back to the future- Simpsons ride,King Kong - revenge of the Mummy,Ghostbusters-Twister,completely new MIB & T2,Hanna Barbera-Spongebob,Hitchcock-Shrek...... & that's just US!
SD:thumbsup2

Oh i miss King Kong-i believe there were other attractions that they could have gotten rid of for The Revenge Of The Mummy-but not King Kong.x.

It's rather worrying as it was so long ago but we really liked the 'Hitchcock Theatre', though Shrek4D is brilliant, I wish they had kept it - they should have got rid of 'Lucille A Tribute' instead.

Totally agree with getting rid of Lucille A Tribute :thumbsup2 .Do you remember Murder She Wrote Mystery Theatre?.x.

:thumbsup2 I think so too, it's been there years and the space could be som nuch better used.

I do love the Mummy Ride though, I think that they should have got rid of the Earthquake instead of making it into Disaster and kept King Kong.

Whilst I am a 'Lucy Show' fan I do think it's an odd thing to have had for so long in US, not sure why it hasn't been replaced!

Who remembers going on the Production Studio Tram Tour or was known in short as The Backlot Tour before that closed in 1995?.x.

Yup - I remember the Tram Tour. :upsidedow

I also would have preferred they kept King Kong and got rid of the Lucy tribute. I know it's been there for a long time, but I've never had any inclination to actually go see it! :rotfl:

WOW - I Am out of touch!!

Enjoyed King Kong - it was a bit daft, but good fun though.. Wont miss Back to the Future as really dont like the motion rides - I am a HUGE Star Wars fan and really had to push myself to sit through the ride as I was desperate to do it!!

Never did the Lucille thing - I suppose they have to cater to American guests somewhere along the line.:rotfl2:

I think the Twister ride was probably the worst ride i have ever been on - it was quite a new ride:rotfl: when we went and it looked like it had been designed by a 5 year old!!

I guess as so much has changed I better start planning another trip!!!!

Cheers Wayne-shame you never got to do it-was very good.x.

Can't stand Twister-done it once never again.x.

Michelle,we also were disappointed when they got rid of Kong,Mummy is excellent but I'd much rather they had got rid of Twister!
Katie I seem to remember that the Hard Rock cafe may be where the Physco house used to be? I'm trying to think what maybe new to you .... IOA,AK,ToT,RNRRC,Soarin,Mission space,Test track even SW has a couple of coasters now!I'm jealous of all the fun you will have discovering all this!::sick:

I loved Kongfrontation-and was so gutted that when i went back in 2003 and took the hubby for the first time-it was gone-i had no idea-glad i got to experience it though-i still have the photo of when you used to come out of the ride into the gift shop, you could queue up+get your photo taken with the huge Kong.

Where the house+motel used to be is now Curious George's playground+A Day In The Park With Barney-but you now have me puzzled about the Hard Rock-because of course that has also changed. The original one went in 1998-as i still have pictures of that as well-it was in the shape of a guitar, and the new one opened the following day where ot still is to this day!!!.x.

***ETA-just had a nose about and found that the Hard Rock Hotel is now built on the old Hard Rock Cafe plot.***
