Where did the summer go?

I feel like DS just got out of school for the summer. Today I had post-registration at his school...pick up car drop off tags, got class and teacher assignment, books, signed up for volunteer work, uniforms, etc. Didn't they just get out?

It's back to school next Wednesday, August 25. Trying out the bus this year. No more tardy days!

Summer has gone by way too fast. I start back September 2 and still haven't started my summer reading. It does seem like we just got out, but then again we sort of did. My homeroom assignments should be coming in anyday now

It's been a loooonnnnggg summer here! Nothing like moving 1250 miles away from home to drag out a summer! Ds desperately needs friends in this neighborhood!

I am, honestly, depressed at how fast it went! I can't even believe it. Our State Fair is over and the Packers played last night. Summer is officially over.

I have now seen two trees with leaves starting to turn. I am just so bummed out I can't stand myself! I need to move south!

Summer?? Did it come already??? You would never know it here in the Chicago area where we have only had 3 days that even reached 90, today I think it is like 78. This is why I have to go to Florida every year, to get some summer.

My kids started back on Aug 5th. Our summer ended a few weeks ago. Oh, well, Christmas break will be here before we know it!

My nephew started school, in East Texas, on 8/9. Summer was very short for him, too.

Summer went very, very fast! Already back at school here on Aug. 11. Summer would have seemed longer if dd didn't go back until Aug 25.

i know my summer went by sooo fast!! we start on the 27th of august and i am so not ready to go back. it will be my last year at high school though so i am excited and it better go by fast! right now i am waiting to get my senior pics back so i can hand them out to friends when school starts.

If you students think you have it bad going back, my DD is starting her high school years at MY SCHOOL! How would you like to attend the same school that your dad taught at? To make matters worse, her locker is almost right across from my door

We've done alot of fun things this summer i.e. WDW trip, SW and Discovery Cove, DD got to go see her favorite singer Toby Keith

And some not so fun things i.e. youngest dd broke her wrist, my aunt died.

School starts Monday, Aug 23rd. Part of me says I'm ready to get back into some type of routine, but ask me in about two weeks and I'll be

I have to agree, summer went way to fast this year....as did my WDW trip...too darn fast!

However, I do love the fall season...sigh...

We had a move ourselves in March. Same story with DS. Hopefully, it will be better at school this year. I'm sure there will be a few new kids, so he won't be the newest one.

I'm waiting on my senior pictures too. But I'm not looking forward to going back. Im not ready for high school to be over. It's just been so much fun. But at least I have more football games under the lights with my friends on the 10 degree autumn nights between now and the end to look forward to I'd be perfectly happy if this year goes by slow.

Okay...I'm glad everyone else's summer went quickly also. I feel like we've been off about 4 weeks. That's it! I'm not even used to DS's new day care center yet. He's been there all summer!

I'm looking forward to the Fall also. It's my favorite time of year. Can't wait after being in FL without it the past 15 years!! But summer has been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too short!
