Jeff: My son kept his boat at the Avalon Point Marina. The first marina inside Townsends Inlet. Sold his 28 footer and looking for something bigger.

That can be a fun inlet when the wind is hard out of the SE with a incoming tide.

Barnegat Inlet can be a challenge. It was really fun before they put the North Jetty in. The fish are still at the N & S Barnegat Ridge.

Getting tougher to find fish in S Jersey----Get's mighty expensive running to the Canyons.

Oh! Of course! Now I understand. If you would have just said furze then it would have spared us all a bunch of confusion!

We have had some showers over the last 2 weeks. Now the grass is starting to green up again and needs cutting.........That sucks it's killing one of my fishing days.

We are going crabbing on Thursday at Kent Island MD and then it's over to Avalon NJ for flounder on Friday and crabbing again on Saturday at Wye Mills MD on Sunday I need to clean up the boat again. Last Thursday I fished in Avalon NJ and had the best flounder day ever. The last 2 Mondays We fished Indian River inlet for flounder, caught a few flounder but all were throw-backs but we did catch enough Blues for a good fish fry.

I hope that your fish'n days are filled with absolute monster swimmers, and your live wells runneth over.
Really nice to hear that you are catch'n some swimmers.

A bit of rain and I see some green in my furze, whin or gorse.




Last night there were some severe thunder storm warnings, a little north and east of me. We were only under a watch.

Basically in Fortwidernessguy area. They could potentially turn into tornadoes. I hope he ducked the bad stuff.

My grass is doing very well this summer (we have been getting regular rain here) and we are expecting some rain from Bonnie this weekend (possibly)...I won't get a direct hit where I am, just some rain from her. Good luck to those directly in her path, looks like she's going to be mild as of now.

We are in northern Maryland, close to Delta, PA and our grass turned a little green because of the severe thunder storms we have had. Now it's back to 90's to 100's and it's truning brown and crunchy again. However, look at the bright side of things, there is less mowing to be done.
