Where Can We Book for April 26th?

We need to make an ADR for the evening of April 27th to use up our DDP credits, since we have to cancel our ADR for the 29th. I just spent 30 minutes on hold, and nothing I asked for was available. We will not be going to any parks that night, so can someone recommend a resort or DTD restaurant that is more likely than others to have openings? When we originally tried to book Planet Hollywood for that night we were told they don't make ADRs for Planet Hollywood. Of course I realized through this board that the woman was wrong - but when I called today they were already booked solid for the 26th.

If I can't get a ressie for the 26th my next step will be to call and see if we can cancel the dining plan for those three days. It's clearly WAY too much hassle.

I would ask Disney Dining to go through the list of restaurants with you to help you find what is available.

Sorry you are having trouble getting an ADR. Have you tried getting a TS for lunch or breakfast?

Is your stay longer than 3 days? Or are you doing a split stay? Otherwise, I am not sure if you can cancel DDP for a few nights of your stay.

Good luck finding your ADR!

You may want to try Cape May at the Beach Club. Last year (same week) we were able to walk in and wait about 30min. for a table as well as make an ADR for there later in the week. Good luck!

What about Jiko at AK, Raglan Road at DTD, Kona Cafe at Poly ???

Because we're getting in around 5, I wasn't able to find ANY TS availability until 8:30 PM or so, which is too late considering our first big park day will be the next day. I'm going to TRY to walk in at Planet Hollywood since we'll be headed to DTD that evening. If that doesn't work out, I was able to make a 3:30 ADR for Mama Melroses for that Sunday, the last day of our DDP - we'll be at MGM until 5 or so then we'll be checking in to our timeshare, so that will work out fine as a backup plan. I imagine not too many people are eating at 3:30, so it was easy to get an ADR at that time and it suits our schedule well.

The 3:30 time is not as unpopular as you think. Many people book MM as part of the Fantasmic dinner package for guaranteed seating at the show, and I know when we did it, our ressie for dinner was very early (maybe before 4:30 or so). I think it's great that you got something and if you want to try a walk up somewhere, you certainly can. At least you have a backup.

We always walk in to Planet Hollywood but our friends just got back and couldn't...they were told that with the MYW packages you get $15off so it's been really busy. On our last trip we ate at 6:00 twice and found it to be too busy and the waits to be long...we changed all our ressies to 4:00...it was alot better!! Have agreat trip!

Both of these are great ideas. Maybe Disney Dining could go through a list of what's available and find something that would appeal to you. They might suggest something not everyone would think of right off the bat, like the Grand Floridian Cafe, or Concourse Steakhouse, or something like that...

Spoodles at the BW is delicious, & norm not crowded
Boma at AKL is great, but can get crowded
or as suggestion, a character b'fast
