where can u buy alcohol/wine pre med cruise in barcelona

Will b traveling from us to barcelona for med cruise. Wanted to know if anyone knew of place in airport or at cruise terminal to buy bottles of wine or liquor?

When are you sailing? Thought new policy didn't come into effect until 30 September 2015??

There are 2 shops in the terminal - 1 alcohol one and 1 that is a general duty free one - but both sell alcohol. Check both before purchasing as they tend to have different deals going on and some things are better priced in one than the other. The airport itself doesn't have much alcohol and isn't very big so I would opt for in the port as also means less carrying. There was a pretty good selection last year (including my favourite rum they don't sell on the ship) so I'm going for buying in there again this year.

And yes policy doesn't come in til 30th Sept so if you are talking about this years Barcelona cruises then you are fine as the last one (the TA) leaves on the 19th.

If you're spending any time in the city before you embark, check out the grocery stores and markets for inexpensive but very good local wines.

I don't know how the prices compare to the shops in the ship terminal as they were packed and I didn't even look at them.

Wine wise the port shops have very limited choice but I believe they were comparable

I believe all of the Barcelona cruises this year are finished before the new policy comes into effect.
