Where can ressies be made before closing?

I am considering purchasing saratoga with the new incentive of ap,s , and I was also paying for a resort stay the end of this month.

I believe If I purchase an add on thru disney ressies can be made right away, but I was wondering if they have to be at the home resort, or any on site dvc??

Im pretty sure you cannot opt for the disney collection until after closing, understandably so, they cannot recoup the cost if you didnt close yet.

I didn t plan on financing , if that makes any difference im not sure.

Any info would be helpful, I called ms today and they have availability for my dates pretty much everywhere.

You can make ressies for ANY DVC property as soon as your deposit is paid!! We just added on at BWV and I've already made ressies at BWV for next summer and rented an OKW reservation, which I made this morning. Our closing isn't scheduled until September 19th, and I had no problems!! I was even allowed to bank points!!!

That's true if you purchase any resort except SSR directly from Disney.

If you buy SSR, it will depend on when your building is available for occupancy. You should be able to use your SSR points after you pay the deposit to book a stay at any DVC resort that begins after your building is officially available. Of course you are subject to the normal booking windows. There are different criteria if you are using Developer's points (from an earlier incentive to buy SSR. I'm not sure it that incentive choice is still available or not).

This is something you should ask your guide to make sure you understand the current rules/limitations associated with your specific SSR deal.

Well, I was hoping for vwl, or bcv. I think the incentive is only for phase one of ssr.

Ill have to ask. Are the buildings that are currently open sold out? I would deffinately need to book for the first week of sept. so I guess I better make sure I can first.

I was under the impression that the first phase was sold out to new members, but DVC had retained some points from the first phase to sell to existing members as addons. If you are able to get an add-on in the first phase, you shouldn't have any problems using the points, but if you get points from the 2nd phase, those points can't be used before 3/05, but I believe you get an equal number of "developer points" which can be used between now and sometime next summer at any resort except SSR. If you're truly considering this, I'd call your guide and lay it all out. They'll be able to best tell you what you can and cannot do.

they can answer your question and tell you if there is any chance that you can get your Sept reservations or you can get VWL or BCV.

all the paper work can be sent to you by Fed Express you can basically join over the phone if you want too.

they could get you one of the sold out resorts - but I think it would be until at the earlier Oct (probably Dec) before you could make reservations. Again ask - they can give you a pretty good estimate. but they are depend upon the seller and DVC (ROFR) so it does take quite a bit longer thru a resalers.

all the dvc resorts are sold out - except SSR.
