Where can I get an EZ Pass?

We ordered our transponder off Amazon as it works for our trips to Florida and to visit family in Minnesota. It's a unipass/epass account.

Clicky here.

We have never been charged monthly fees and I believe it goes through a New York state account.

Perhaps a bonus, or perhaps there just is no license plate / EZ Pass reciprocity with the for-profit entity that runs ETR, but I’ve never been hit with tolls when using the 407.

Don't bother with a transponder for New York state. It's like tge 407 you will receive a bill in the mail. As for Florida I have never payed a toll in 5 year's. Ontario/ Canadian license plates are not in the Florida database and you will never receivea bill from Florida. I was told this by a sunpass employee at the welcome center on 75.

I have had the Uni Pass black for a couple of years bought off Amazon for $14.99 USD. Same balance as I started with during initial purchase, ended up flying down instead of driving. Per the app the only thing you could be charged for if not using is the $0.75 Monthly mail statements sent by USPS. Electronic is free. Driving my snow birds parents car down in a couple of weeks, will update how the pass works out.

Check the rules for the different states or jurisdictions offering EZpass. Some of them offer discounts on the toll roads in their jurisdiction but not in other jurisdictions. It is permissible for one person to hold EZpasses for more than one jurisdiction (or both EZpass and Sunpass) but it is then necessary to stop and put one pass in its special bag and get out another pass to get the discount on the next toll road if desired or to go with the next toll road if needed.

Is SunPass Pro available at the duty free stores at Detroit and/or Buffalo? I ordered one just as Canada Post went on strike, so although they created my account, they did not ship it. I called January 3 and told them the strike is 'tentatively' not happening, but according to SunPass, Canada Post is still on strike!

If they are not available at the border, where else along I75 are they available?

Since it a Florida pass, but good in a lot of states, I doubt it would be available anywhere but Florida in person.

They have a vending machine style unit in the Florida Welcome Centre, recommended in the book Along I75, by Dave Hunter. Used the book a few times when driving down to Florida.
