My husband and I are about to purchase some points but he would like to know about the other "options" we have besides the Disney resorts. On the video we got from Disney they just showed a map with dots on it so we could approximate where some of them were. I know there are hundreds but we'd just like to know about some in the US that we could possibly drive to (from Chicago). Any ideas? Thanks!

Depends on how far from Chicago you want to drive. There are 5 exchanges in Wisconsin, including The American Club. There is Izaty's in Minnesota and The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The Inn at Bay Harbor is in Michigan as well and French Lick Springs in Indiana.

The points may not be worth your stay at these hotels. For example the Whitehall near Michigan Ave can be booked for about $100 per night internet. You may get more value renting your points and using cash for these stays. Maybe rent your points and stay at the four seasons/ritz carlton above water tower ;)
