Where can I get a list of conventions/groups at WDW?

We're planning on a trip in February but don't want to go at the same time as any big conventions or groups are at WDW. Is there an on-line event calendar somewhere?

I doubt you will find that info anywhere.

I used to work for a convention and visitors bureau and this was info we charged vendors for.

Also, there could be a ton of conventions but you would never know whether they would impact your trip.

As for the tour groups, you may consider a group of 100 brazilians a major impact to your trip but to Disney they're a drop in the bucket and they may not even know of their existence until they show up.

I think you just have to use historical data and realize that the Brazilians, I think, are generally there in december and july and that pop warner is the beginning of december.


BTW if you are there the third week of Feb, be on the lookout for me and my group, the Northgate Flames Marching Band. We will be the ones wearing the matching red and gold T shirts. Don't worry we don't tour as a group.

PS when we went four years ago the , same time in feb, we were the only matching shirts that I saw.

Not sure of the Disney conventions, but the Orange County Convention Center link is: http://www.occc.net/

Visitors there may certainly impact your trip, but given the capacity of the parks, maybe not as much as in other places around the nation.

never saw a list either. Since most conventions/groups usually choose certain hotels within disney people are not everywhere at every resort..or every park for that matter....
that being said...if it will affect your trip, for groups like, Brazilians, Gay Days, Jersey Week, etc...try and research before you leave so not to be disappionted.
I have to admit we avoid groups (those that generally go same time each year) ourselves like the plague...theres enough people already,

Many times we have gone the week of the President Day holiday which is usually the 3 Monday in Feb. Every year that we have gone there has been a cochlear ear implant convension at the CSR. Plus it also happens to be winter break for the schools in the north east states so there is a large crowd of kids during this week. Not to mention is it also the weekend of the Daytona 500 and a lot of race fans opt to stay at Disney. It is also the week for twirl mania so there will be a lot of girls staying at the value resorts. They are quit loud and rowdy! So beware.
