Where can I get a lanyard?

My DD and I are firmly in the pin trading camp for the first time. We have ordered some pins and they should be arriving any day. We don't go on our trip to WDW until July, but we want to get a lanyard now. Our Disney store doesn't have any at the moment. Is there someplace else we can go to get a lanyard. It doesn't even need to be a themed one. It could just say Walt Disney World or even be plain. Help!!

Walmart usually has lanyards. Not sure in what department but i know other people here have mentioned getting them there.

If you have a Claire's at your mall, they often carry lanyards too. Also, occasionally Hot Topic will have them with Disney characters on them.

I bought a bunch of really nice ones on e-bay. for my kids i got mickey & minnie (pink & dark blue) which was also a water bottle holder. For myself i got a real nice black tinkerbell w/roses. cheap too $2.99 per lanyard, they did have an original disney ticket on it.

I was glad I found this thread. I was wondering if we would get "the evil eye" if our lanyards were not from the Disney Store.

Although I don't suggest using ebay for most pin purchases, there are always a selection of nicer disney lanyards for sale using the buy it now feature on there and usually for around half of the original retail. For instance I regualarly see the Americana Lanyard set which includes 8 pins for around 26.00 including shipping.

As far as not using an official Disney Lanyard... that is no big deal at all.
