Where can I find THV points?

I just learned today that banked points can't be transferred (you learn something new everyday), so I have 170 points that I have to use by March 2012.

Am looking to see how much a 2 BR or GV will cost be around Xmas time. Yes, the 11 month window has passed, but just barely, and I'm hoping I can remember to do this in the 7 month window.

We will have 5 adults and 4 kids in our party (infant, 2, 4, 6) and am trying to find a way to use at least the 170 points (but if I have to use current remaining UY and borrow from next ), we'll do that too.

Worse case, I'll plan/book something around MLK or President's Day.

Question: Which resorts are best during Winter Time? We're doing OKW and AKV this year, so am hoping to try other resorts. Will try BLT since that's my home resort, but am looking at THV and can't seem to find points needed for that.

Because there is only sleeping capacity for 9. Bedroom 1 has a queen, bedroom 2 has a double, there are bunk beds in the third and the living room has a sleep sofa and a sleep chair.

The points charged are the same as a 2 bedroom.

And there are only about 30 THV available for points reservations until more inventory gets sold at SSR. So trying to get THV for Christmas at 7 months is going to be tough. Actually, anything at 7 months out for Christmas is tough.

Book at your home resort and see what else might be available at 7 months out.

I've done my add on, specifically for the reason of staying at the THV's. I heard that within one week of the 11 month Christmas booking window, that they were booked up already, after all only 30 of us need to reserve them for them to be full. I would guess that the waitlist will be fairly long by time we get to the 7 month mark, but who knows stranger things have happened! Good luck with whatever you decide. If you are going at Christmas definitely book at your home resort now so you're not stuck somewhere you would not want to be (or not at all) at the 7 month mark!
