Hello! I completed my schooling four years back and after that I joined my father’s business, but now after four years I want to go back to school while I work simultaneously on my father’s business. I’m interested in education degrees. Does anyone know about any legit distance learning education programs through which I can complete my education?

granite.edu

snhu.edu

both part of the University System of New Hampshire. You can do it completely online, I used a mix of both schools and in person courses to get my degree. Great professors, easy user interface online and yes it's legit!

If you have any questions about either school feel free to pm me! I know a lot of my SNHU classmates were from out of state!

I think the University of Maryland University College does a number of online degree programs. They're at umuc.edu. I think the school is part of the University System of Maryland so it's legit.

Stephen F. Austin State University just implemented a distance learning EC-6 degree program. It's a traditional Texas State University, so no funny business. www.sfasu.edu

Also, check out the following universities that have great distance learning programs (all are Texas schools)

www.twu.edu
www.unt.edu
www.texastech.edu
www.utexas.edu
www.dcccd.edu

All of the above are real schools that offer degrees and degree completion online. I finished my AA degree compeltely online through DCCCD and am now completing my BA in English and History through TWU. My family are HUGE supporters of distance learning.

I was planning on getting my BA in English going to Disney for the CP, then going back to finish a degree in Communications (I have a dual degree and have started my Comm degree but will finish my English first. After next year it will take me another year to finish to my Comm degree). I started thinking that I could transfer my Comm degree and finish it online while I was doing the CP at Disney. I know nothing about online colleges though. I found this site that lists online colleges but I'm not sure it's legit.

Could someone who has done online college or done online college while at Disney give me some advice?

New York has Empire College which is in the SUNY system and is soley online.

I'm doing half my current course load on-line. The rest of my classes are Saturdays and one evening a week. There are colleges out there that do weekend only programs. It might be worth looking into.

I started going to DeVry University due to the military partnership. I transfered all my community college credits in and was able to earn a bachelors in business management. DeVry is very legit and fully accredited. Most people don't think so, or don't know anything about it. Once I finished, I was going to apply to UCF into a graduate program, but decided to continue at Keller school of management, a department through devry. I have had success at these schools because of their options. The course are 8 weeks long, and offered all year round. This will allow me to complete the MBA program in half the time. I know these schools are a bit more expensive, but its worth the ease of fitting into my schedule. But I have to say that there are times when I think I can't do it any more. 8 week courses can be very demanding and you have to be dedicated completely when you take classes online.

From what I learned from being in school and in the military, people are not caught up on the school you attended. There are some pretty big names out there, and sure going to those school will get you places. But employers are more concerned with you completing what you started, your work history and work ethic. So if your interested in going back to school and considering online education. Just make sure the school is fully accredited. As long as they are, it is a legit school.
