Looking for a fantastic breakfast for our vacation to Disney World this coming October. My grandmother has decided to join us and hasn't been to Disney World in a long, long time...only the Magic Kingdom was around when she went!

On our last morning (my birthday!), we are looking for a fun, yummy breakfast. We cannot have breakfast in a park as we do not have park tickets for that day. We do have the DDP and will be using one TS credit (unless an elusive Le Cellier reservation comes available). We rarely ever do a breakfast at Disney World so I'm not really sure where we should go. Thanks!!

Kona Cafe over in the Polynesian is really great (Tonga Toast or pineapple macadamia pancakes :) mmmmm), no characters there.

Ohana is in the Poly as well, has Mickey, Lilo, Stitch and Pluto for characters and the food is served family style.

1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian has Alice, the Mad Hatter, and I think Mary Poppins, and it is a buffet :)

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are excellent choices for a resort breakfast.

If you want characters, I'd say Chef Mickey, Cape May or Ohana. The food is a little better at Ohana and Cape May imho, but Chef Mickey's has so many of the characters.

If no characters, I'd suggest Boma.

If you have a QS credit you need to use, my top choice would be WPE in DTD. It is a FABULOUS use of credit and the food was fantastic. Their breakfast pizzas are huge and incredible. My daughter loved her huge chocolate chip pancakes. And it wasn't crowded ever if you get there early...

Our favorite breakfast in the World is at 'Ohana. The food is wonderful and fresh. It's one of the meals that everyone agrees is a must-do for every trip we make. Plus the characters are a lot of fun!

If characters aren't really your thing another restaurant we enjoy is Kona Cafe. One restaurant we are really hoping to try for breakfast is the Grand Floridian Cafe. The breakfast menu sounds very tasty!

I'd suggest Cape May at the Beach Club. The food is fabulous (it was the best breakfast we had all week) and the characters were so much fun because they were not rushing off to another table.

We loved the Grand Floridian Character Breakfast (the English characters, Alice, Pooh and Friends, Mary Poppins).

we love Whispering Canyon for breakfast. It's much more mellow (they still do a few antics, but in general, it's more laid back) We especially the all you care to eat breakfast skillet!

Our absolute favourite breakfast is Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in AK. The food is fabulous and the characters are adorable in their safari outfits, but since it is at AK, you will need park admission. Our second favourite is breakfast at 'Ohana. Food is very good and character interaction is awesome. Hope that helps!

I'm glad to hear of the good reviews for 'Ohana breakfast. We also never do breakfast but will be doing it for the first time on our upcoming trip. We decided upon dining at 'Ohana for our one and only TS breakfast. I hope it's good! My dd (5) loves Lilo and Stitch so that sealed the deal for us. They are her favorite characters.

We also enjoy GF Cafe, it is a nice relaxing breakfast. another vote for Boma too.

We really loved 1900 Park Fare breakfast. It is a buffet but has great food and plenty of options to please everyone. The characters were also so much fun there. They had Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Eeyore and Alice. We have done a few breakfast meals and this was by far our fave. :thumbsup2

A close second for me would be 'Ohana.

My vote for charachter breakfast is Donalds at the Animal Kingdom, they are extremely effecient at getting people sit, have a lot of very good quality option, icluding the kids stuff and of course the charachters. We eat a good breakfast, before park is open see most the charachters and are still one of the first people in line for the Safari!

Best regular dining Kona; love that big breakfast with the macadamian pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc....mmmmmm

We really enjoyed the food at Cape May, especially the bread pudding and the grits, which are better than even my mother used to make.

Enjoy.

:)

We love the Whispering Canyon Cafe' for breakfast. We stayed at the WL on our last trip and ended up eating breakfast there twice because we loved it so much. We got the all you can eat skillet and pretty reasonable at $15, not bad for Disney prices. We didn't get to see any of the foolishness the staff does because we always ate around 7:30, before most people were up. I don't belive in wasting time sleeping when there is so much to see, do, and eat while in the world, I can sleep when I get home.

For 1 TS credit you cannot beat:

The Grand Floridian Cafe (nicest setting, great food)

Kona Cafe (fun setting, great food)

Boma (buffet) - best buffet breakfast in WDW, still nice setting

I'm glad to hear of the good reviews for 'Ohana breakfast. We also never do breakfast but will be doing it for the first time on our upcoming trip. We decided upon dining at 'Ohana for our one and only TS breakfast. I hope it's good! My dd (5) loves Lilo and Stitch so that sealed the deal for us. They are her favorite characters.

You will love it. The food is good and served family style. The juice is super yummy (some think it's too sweet but we loooove it!). The character interaction is great. At one point, Stitch was pretending to chew on my DD's lanyard. At another time, my DD was on her hands and knees on the floor with Pluto and next thing you know, Pluto had her over his shoulder like a sac of potatoes! She was laughing hysterically! They also have the kids do some kind of parade around the restaurant. My DD had a ton of fun! (Stitch is her favourite as well and she even asked Lilo permission to take Stitch back home with her!). Oh, don't know if I should mention that DD was 12 at the time!! LOL, yes, she turns into a 4 year old when she is at Disney!
