So... AFTER I promised to send postcards to every child I know when I get to WDW, :duck: I realize that I do not know where to buy postcards, or stamps, or where I can post them from in the Magic Kingdom. :rolleyes1

Can anyone give me some pointers?

Thanks!! :hippie:

You can buy postcards at any gift shop. Postage stamps are available for purchase at various gift shops. Postcards and letters with postage already applied can be mailed from any mail box located throughout the theme parks and at the Front Desk of Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

You can also head to City Hall in the Magic Kingdom and ask the Cast Member for the “Main Street Post Mark” to be put on your postcards. They will stamp your mail with a special Main Street USA – Magic Kingdom postmark!

:thanks: That's exactly what I needed to know! Many children will be the happy recipients of postcards. :thanks:

Thanks for asking this question. I was going to buy postcards for a few kids and have Mickey "sign" them when we go to Chef Mickeys for breakfast. We can't buy a lot of souvenirs, but I know my nephews like getting mail.

Keep in mind that MK may or may not have the proper postage to mail postcards to Canada, so you may end up buying more postage than you need. They provide stamps at a courtesy, but are not a full-fledged PO. You may want to investigate getting exact postage prior to your arrival.

Good call. For anyone else Canuck who is reading, it's $1.10 to send a postcard to Canada. I figure I'll just buy two stamps. At the point that I'm eating a 5 dollar ice cream bar watching million dollar fireworks, an extra .80 isn't going to be the last straw. :rotfl2:

Just so you know and for anyone else that stumbles upon this thread. It is not an actual MK Postmark. The MK does not have a post office.

If you give it to them they stamp it with something that says "Mailed from the MK" or the like and then its sent to the Post Office to be Post Marked.

Until recently it said Lake Buena Vista but now with Post Office Closings its an Orlando postmark.

I know its just a little thing but I have seen some majorly obsessed Disney Fans that would take issue with this little detail. Not sure where though? :confused3 ;)

Wait isn't more than two stamps. How much is it to mail a First Class Letter?

I'm wondering if staying on site if your resort would have a better selection of stamps. Like they would have one of those stamp vending machines that sells different denominations of stamps.

If you want to go crazy you can have custom stamps printed with anything you want on them including a picture of you at WDW. They are around a $1 a piece for a first class stamp and you have to buy a book of them, but like you said what's another $8.

Two stamps won't do it. You'll have to buy three. Regular US postage is 46 cents, so you'd need three stamps ($1.38), and you're only out an extra $.28 per postcard.
