Where best place to purchase Annual Pass?

Hello!
I haven't purchased an AP in awhile and wondering what resource is the best to get one through. And to also confirm it isn't effective until I activate it at WDW gate, right? thanks for any replies!!!

Hi!

No matter where you buy your AP, it will be the same price. There are no discounts anywhere for buying an AP.

If you purchase your AP from a Disney Store, or order it through CRO you will get a voucher which you will turn in at WDW for the actual AP itself. It is when you turn in that voucher that your 366 days start.

Of course, if you buy your AP at WDW, the 366 days start when you purchase it.

I bought mine last year at the Disney Store (back when there was a Disney Club and I got a discount...sigh) and then activated it at Downtown Disney. I had read on the DIS somewhere that there was less of a wait that way, and sure enough we had no wait at all, and it was in July!

I have 2 days and a plus feature left on a 4 day plus pass (adult) purchased last year. Does anyone have recent experience with how much the trade in value toward an annaul pass might be?Thanks.

Roughly 50% of what you paid for it if it. The plus option carries no dollar value and will be lost in the transaction.
