Where are you staying on your next Disneyland Trip and Why?

For our upcoming trip we are staying at Hotel Indigo.

We stayed there last time, we picked it because it was within walking distance to the parks. We are AP holders but we have this fear of missing rope drop because of a parking lot redirect. We also read some good things about it so we decided to give it a shot.

We loved it last time, the staff was friendly and the room was fairly quiet(super important to us). The parking garage has a lot of room and is in an enclosed area, so that was also nice. The bed also didn't hurt my back, which is a plus.

We just returned from a 3-night stay at Camelot Inn & Suites. I wasn't thrilled that when I changed my reservation dates the cost per night jumped $20, but I was too lazy to look around for another less-expensive room. I didn't care that there wasn't breakfast since I'm very limited on what foods I can eat. The McDonalds was perfect for us - I could get my dairy-free smoothie and my son could eat whatever he wanted, all for under $10. The room was large and very clean - and quiet! We could hear some talking through the connecting door, but it was minimal. We loved being able to see the fireworks from the pool area as well. And it was just a few steps further from BWPPI, so not a big deal. And the desk staff was very friendly and gracious. In short, it's my new favorite place.

We've stayed at HoJo's (nice, out of our price range now and a bit too far to walk), the former Ramada Inn Main Gate (you get what you pay for - less expensive rooms weren't very good at all), and BWPPI (over hyped - I thought the rooms were small and a bit dank, although the breakfast was good). If I were to return tomorrow I'd book at Camelot again.

Going in 2 weeks and staying at the Desert Inn. Not the greatest but the rooms are usually satisfactory and it is THE closest place and reasonable for the 4 of us. We usually stay at the ramada but since they remodeled prices went up and this is a budget trip.

Just booked five nights at the Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites. Wanted to go with the Deluxe Room ($89 a night except for our last night which went to $129) but it looks like our last night got booked up sometime this week so I had to move up to the "Executive Room" for $60 more for the whole week. I was initially a bit bummed but I guess I'll get over it.

I would call them and see if they could work out a split stay between the 2 rooms. yes moving rooms sucks but 60 a night is a lot.

Last minute anniversary trip back at HOJO since we have enough for a free night and only paying out of pocket one night with the 30% AP discount. We loved our stay last time and this time I can actually walk so yay.

Also tentatively planning Haloween kickoff Sept 9th- 11th at Super 8 on Katella because for $85 a night why not !

Then back at HOJO for thanksgiving 23rd-27th whew!

It's actually $60 extra for the whole trip, only an extra $10 (and change) each night.

I considered a split stay but the wife-to-be just told me that the extra $60 is okay. We're getting a sofa out of the deal and potentially a better room location.

Only 10 a night and your getting the room that has the sitting area with a couch. i keep that. the extra room makes morning so much nicer. that sitting area is a great place to set up breakfast in front of the tv for the little ones. I went down and gathered up food and brought them back to my room each morning and set up breakfast in there. then I woke up my son and he slowly munch and watch tv while I got ready and it was a nice set up. also if you close the door to the sitting area at night it is much quieter. I like that room way better than the standard.

We actually switched to HOJO. Even though I would love to stay at the DLH, I have heard great things about the HOJO and for the price sounds great. I am always willing to save money in hotel, and have more for the parks :earboy2:. As long as we stay somewhere clean as we mostly never return to the hotel until we go to sleep.

Hah, no little ones just yet. That's a few years down the road. This is actually our Honeymoon trip in January.

Please tell me more about this 30% AP discount at Hojo's. I think last time I stayed there it was more like a 15% discount for APs.

Use code LKAP for 30%off when available. Those reservations are NOT CANCELLABLE just FYI. You can also use LNAP for 20% off that is changeable. Neither are prepaid.

Wow, that's fantastic! The 30% off is available for my possible dates, but I don't feel comfortable with a nonrefundable rate. The 20% off is a great deal too, so I think I'll book with that one. We are supposed to go for Gay Days the first weekend in October so we have DLH booked at a great rate, but there's a chance we might have to move the trip back a couple weeks. It will be good to have Hojo as a back up. Thank you!!

Does hojo have suites with a door? So the kids can go to bed in the dark. That would fit 6 total.

I wouldn't know as we are a childfree couple but calling would be best :)

Yeah, that 30% off is really tempting. But not being able to cancel or even move it?? Too big of a risk. I'll spend the $100+ with the 20% discount and have some peace of mind.
