Off to Las Vegas for us this coming June with a bunch of family members!:yay:

March - Orlando

September - Breckenridge, Co

Off to Japan with dh and his HS jazz ensemble (including ds14) in November. Been wanting to go back there since 1992 when we spent 6 months there.

What does big mean? Long? Expensive? ;)

Going to Az in 2 weeks for 10 days, but I have a house there so not sure if that counts.
Going to DLR 3 times this year, but that is for short trips, 4-5 days each.
So, the big and expensive one would be the DCL transatlantic in Sept. for 2 weeks :yay:

Beaches Turks and Caicos for 10 days in April

Vegas, Zion, Bryce in June.

Liberty of the Seas cruise in the Caribbean in July!!

Our next "big vacation" will be living vicariously through DS17 and his first year of college :lmao::lmao:

Seriously though, with the kids' school schedule for the rest of this year, this summer and at least into November, we don't have any time to take a vacation. Dh and I might try to get away somewhere for a few days but even then, I don't know when we would be able to do that.

If the snow melts in southern Iowa by spring break in March we might try to get down there for a couple days of golf with DD's golf coach and his family :thumbsup2.

Smoky Mountains (Pigeon Forge, and Bryson City areas) in March for 2 weeks. We've rented a cabin in the mountains with DH's sister and her DH. Really looking forward to it (we were there for the first time 3 years ago), and doing some of the things we missed from last time.

Then in July Mom and I have rented a cabin in the upper peninsula for a week.

Thinking about booking a cruise for next winter.

DD will be going to residential soccer camp in KY in June. While she is there, DH and I are thinking we will head to Chicago.

I'm glad someone beat me to it! I told dh years ago that we needed to get in all our big vacations before our oldest turned 16 because after that it will get dicey. (Not only financially, but timewise!) We did fit in 7 days to do Washington DC/New York the year he turned 16, but haven't gone anywhere since. This year it's actually our 15 year old's schedule that will prevent trips. Driver's Ed, a youth group trip, and two weeks of summer marching rehearsals have him pretty much booked all summer. There are two free weeks, but we can't make solid plans because we don't know if our 17 year old will be able to get off work (if he can find a job!)

DH and I will go on a short trip the week the kids are both gone with their youth group, but we don't know where yet!

I have a couple of weekend trips this year to Indy and DC along with a 2 day trip to Disney in Oct and an other 5 day trip in Jan 2011 but my next big trip is to Germany. A friend of mine is working there for 2 years and while I have a free place to stay I am going to go at least once, probably Sept 2011. I am going to try to get back at least one more time.

I'm not sure exactly what I will be doing but I will be doing at least 1 half marathon, probably two. I will be going to the real Octoberfest in Munchen. I hope to make it over to the lakes region of Austria (possibly for one of the halves) and maybe to northeastern France for a couple of days.

2 WEEKS free--we seriously have 2 DAYS this summer that aren't booked for the twins and DS17 is working 6 days/week all summer. The twins are taking summer honors geometry that starts the Monday after they get out of school (on a Friday). There is a 2 day overlap between geometry and band camp so when they come back from marching band camp they make up those 2 days. They have about 4 weeks where they have geometry in the morning and go right from that to marching band practice for the rest of the day.

They have the Friday and Monday off around July 4th. :lmao:
