Where are you from?

Hi, we are from North Myrtle Beach, SC (right on the NC/SC border). It takes us about 9 hours to drive to WDW. We normally leave around 5am and are swimming in our resort pool by 3:30pm. We can't wait, we are soooo close to leaving!::yes::

Hi PLibster... we would love to live in that area some day, how do you like it?

Saskatchewan Canada and we fly out of Minot N.D we are thinking of driving some time.

I'm from Atlanta. We usually fly. Last year was the first time we drove and we will not be doing it again. It so much quicker to just get on a flight to go down there.

On our first trip, this may, we flew to Miami (via Paris), drove from Miami to Orlando, then after 6 days, drove back to Miami ,then via Paris to Helsinki...talk about traveling to WDW... :)

We live in central Maine and have always flown to WDW usually from Manchester, NH or Portland, ME. Too long a drive for our liking:crazy:

Cincinnati, Ohio - We normally drive for the trip to Orlando. It is approximately 14 hours. We stop on the way down in Valdosta, Georgia, but drive straight through on the way home.

We are from Grafton Ohio. We always drive because it is cheaper than five plane tickets. It takes 17 hours but we stop in Charlotte which half way.

in a adorable little small town in NC called Mocksville. We're about 30 minutes from Winston-Salem and 1 hour from Charlotte. It's a 9 hour drive to Disney and we do usually drive.

I'm from MD - used to drive all the time when I lived in VA (12 hrs), but after 2 knee surgeries I now fly - it hurts more to drive and sit for so long!

 We're from Spring Lake, Michigan-about 1/2 hour west of Grand Rapids and right on Lake Michigan. We usually fly out of Chicago, but this Christmas we're going to drive the 22 hours to save a little $$ unless airfare comes down during December.

St. Louis here...this will be our 2nd drive down. It takes us about 16.5 hours..Would love to fly, but DH won't. The kids prefer the drive...figure that:confused: Hey, I just realized we are finally in "double digits":worship: :worship: :cheer2: :thewave:

We are from Central Louisiana, near Alexandria. We flew out of New Orleans for our first trip in 2001. This time we're driving. If we make it there and back (LOL!) with kids in tow (DD 16, DS13) we may consider it again. The flight is only about 1.25 hrs. It's going to be hard to beat that.

:thewave: :thewave: :thewave:

I'm in New Hampshire. We used to drive, but we've flown the last couple of times. I prefer flying, because it gets us there faster!

We're from Kansas City. We always fly....a 2 1/2 hour non-stop flight to Orlando.

24 hour drive but with 3 little ones, I'm sure it will probably be closer to 30

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

We are from Southern California - I hate to fly (which is ironic since I work in the travel industry) we have taken the train twice and flown the rest of the times.

I love taking the train - it's not for everyone - if anyone ever has any questions about it I am an expert.

We have always stayed on property and we never rent a car.

I'm in SE Ohio, I think it took us about 16 hours to drive when we went before, stopped in Columbia, SC for the night. We're flying this time, and probably from now on, since DH said he'd NEVER do that drive again, and that was when we pulled into CBR...he wanted to sell my car and fly home

I live in MA, but fly out of Manchester, NH for many reasons. Can you say Big Dig nightmare in Boston? I always fly Southwest and it takes just as long to get to MHT as it does to Logan, but with much less traffic & headaches. :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

South Louisianian here!

We usually make the trip by car (12-13hrs depending upon stops for meals & bathrooms). The only time I've flown to DW was for our honeymoon.

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

As a child, we always drove. Our trip last year, which was DH and DD's first, we drove (about 16 hours) with 8 other family members. My DH said he would NEVER drive again.

Our next trip we will be flying, which I'm sure I'll be nervous as it will be my first time.

I agree with DH about driving. Why spend 16-17 hours on the road when we can fly and be in disney in about 2 1/2 and spending that extra time with Mickey.

I'd rather be at WDW having a blast than on the road admiring cars...
