Ahh Ireland! My family is from Ireland. Ancestors, my grandmother (mom's mom). Ireland and irish is a huge part of my life. Have you ever heard of the O'Neils that lived hundreds yrs ago in County Tyrone? Well if you have, or ever do, they are my ancestors.

O'Neill is a very big name in Irish history (and the variations O'Neil and Neill)!

I know lots of them but none from Tyrone... we live at the other end of the country! Delighted that you know your heritage though!

I'm from New York, but have been visiting Connecticut for the past 17 years. :teeth:

We live about 1500 miles from WDW. Two and 1/2 hours by plane.

I like the way you put that.... I have a friend whose lived in NC for ~ 16 years but whenever someone asks for where she's from she always says Long Island, NY. I'll have to tell her that she been "visiting" NC for a while as well. :rotfl:

Back on topic: I am from Raleigh, NC :cheer2:

What part of KY are you in? I was beginning to think I was alone here. LOL Probably about a 14 hour drive for us. I haven't been to WDW since I was about 10 and am going again this winter. :woohoo: It will be me, dh, dd10, and ds7(almost 8) in one vehicle. We have a lot more family going down with us though that are driving their vehicles or flying.

I guess it would be kinda hard to drive if ur from South Africa, lol. Thats really cool. A couple trips back I was in frontierland at that one place where they have the show insdie and u can eat that yummy food (cant remember what its called, lol) and there was a little girl from south africa. I thought that was really cool, they came all the way from there to here. Hows ur country? Is it pretty? What are the people like?

Yup, it's a long way... The most direct way is to take a direct flight to Atlanta (app. 18 hours!), and then a connection. But we hate the idea of staying in the plane for 18 straight hours, so we go through Europe, with at least a few hours between the two long-haul flights. My youngest dd keeps saying, instead of flying for so long, why don't we just go and live at dwd forever.

South Africa is beautiful: lots of very different places to visit: Cape Town - where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet, safaris, big cities, lots of wild areas, and many different cultures. We have been living here for 6 years and have not seen everything yet. People are very friendly.

Yup agree with all you say! and since we are so close to Buffalo there is absolutely NO reason to fly outta TO just too much money.

And the Brewery you are thinking of is SLEEMAN'S famous for Cream Ale, Honey Brown etc --- Bottles are clear without any labels.:drinking1

We know Sleeman's well. My step dad has them as a client.

I rarely fly out of TO. It's such a hassle. Buffalo has a beautiful clean airport. We like to stay overnight in Buffalo and go to the Galleria Mall. This year our flight is at 5:50 am. Don't want to waste a day, just want to get to WDW.

I am from Brooklyn, New York. I hope to meet as many friendly people in Disney as I have met here on the boards. :goodvibes :wave2:

My driver's license currently indicates I'm a resident of Fargo, ND--no wood chippers at my house, though--but Detroit, MI is where I hail from (Detroit proper, that is).

5:50? you sure you don't mean 6:50? I couldn't see one earlier than that? Mind you it has to be a non-stop flight for my petfried Dad!
