Where are the codes?

Now the voucher thing is up for debate. Some people say that you the CM's have never asked for anything upon checking-in, some people have only had to produce a voucher(this is an AP that has NOT been activated), & others had to show a valid, activated AP. With a voucher, I believe, the year doesn't start until it is activated. I'm sure peolpe here can let us know if this is correct.

Help me out guys, am I either missing, or misstating anything?

I think you just about covered it, I've heard all the above things you have. In our personal experience, I was told that we could use a voucher as proof, but that we would need to return to the check-in desk and show the ap after we picked them up. I waited too long to have them mailed to me so I had them hold the ap's at the will call window.

When we got there, I had intended to go to a park and pick them up, but I was really tired. All I had for proof of ap's was a confirmation number. I decided to give checking in a shot and see if they'd accept the confirmation number.

As it turned out, they asked for nothing. In fact, I don't think the CM even knew what the discount code on our reservation meant, because she asked me if we needed to buy park passes while we were checking in. I said no, we already had them. I expected them to ask, but they never did.

If I had it to do over again, I'd at least order them in time to have the vouchers, but I have no doubt that the voucher is all you would need.

I was going to buy the 7 day park hopper plus but if I did my math right the AP is only $43 more if I buy it in advance! I know I can't use the AP for the water parks (I didn't want to buy the Premium Annual Pass) but I bought 6 day park hopper pluses last year and did not use any "pluses". So I can use the "plus" from that ticket to go to the water park this year. I hope I am making sense.:bounce:

Could one of you great knowledgable Code getters/users private email me with what they are and how I might use them. I love Disney but am so tired of All Star resorts - my dream is to stay at one of the Deluxes but rack rate is way too high for me. Please someone help educate a newbie!! namiller@umich.edu. thanks in advance.

frankiemom,
Are you sure you can still use last time's pluses for this trip? The reason I ask is because I asked at TDS store this very question and she said that you had to use them on original trip--that they didn't carry over. I questioned her and she then said she wasn't sure. I thought it was a good question!

They never expire.

Maybe she was thinking about the UPHP.

Buckalew I've used left over plus days. As disneyjunkie said they are good forever. If you forget what you have left on used passes you can have them scanned at guest services and they can tell you what is left and when you used it.

Bobcat,I love the Pooh picture at the bottom of your post. How did you get it there? I'm a relative newbie.

Has anyone read their mousesavers newsletter? Interesting stuff on upcoming codes. :)

My Mom used 4 of 6 days on a PHP in December and I used 1 plus visit for Pleasure Island last week. I know they are not supposed to be transferrable, but I paid for her pass (I have an AP).

The plus visits on park hoppers used to have to be used within 7 days of first use of the pass, but that was changed a few years ago.

I just got the newsletter this morning and I am excited about the rumor. Atleast it gives me a little hope that there will be something coming out. I check mousesavers every morning, noon, and night everday to see if anything has come out. I am very excited! I hope they have been worth waiting for.

...could someone please post the rumor about the codes???(that was just mentioned in this post???I am desperate to have codes come out....my family(6 of us) would love to justify our staying at WL maybe(they allow up to that amount in the suites) rather than have to get two rooms at all stars...not that I wouldnt stay at all stars mind you(i love them) its just that we would love to stay at WL..it looks like heaven( and the motif isnt so hard to beat either...considering we're part American Indian :-)

PLEASE...if you find it in your time, please inform the rest of us who didnt get the mousesavers newsletter(dont know why..Im a member I thought)..thank you for your kindness!!

tbear nothing definate on codes but just rumor that they may be out soon. Keep checking mousesavers for details.

tbear,

Here is the material part from Mousesaver's newsletter--

"Rumor has it that discounts for the Walt Disney World resort hotels, covering late April through early June, will be coming very soon. I believe we will first see codes for discounted Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) packages, including Disney Club packages -- possibly on February 23.

Eventually there will probably be "room only" codes and Annual Passholder rates that can be booked through the Central Reservations Office (CRO), but I don't have any solid information on that yet.

The last time Disney released the discounts in this order, the best idea for many people was to go ahead and grab a "Basic Plan" package (which is "room only," but booked through WDTC) because there was a lot more room availability than there was when the CRO "room only" rates came out. The prices are pretty much identical -- plus you get free miniature golf tickets with the "Basic Plan."

There are three "down sides" to booking the WDTC "Basic Plan" packages, though these really aren't a huge problem for most people whose plans are firm. First, you have to put down a $200 deposit ($100 for Disney Club packages) -- instead of one night's room rate, which is the CRO requirement. Second, you must pay the full amount of your stay well in advance of check-in -- with a CRO "room only" booking, you pay at check-in. Third, cancellation penalties are more stringent with WDTC packages than with CRO "room only" rates.

If you decide to book a "Basic Plan" package, be sure to check on the penalties, and make sure the agent does not add trip insurance (unless you want it) -- once insurance has been added to a package, it is non-refundable.

Be sure to watch MouseSavers.com for the latest information on the resort discount codes!"

tbear .....

when you log onto mousesavers in the yellow box at the bottom there is a place to sign up for the newsletter. I had signed up for watchit to make sure that I got the website updates. The other day when I logged in I read in the yellow box on the home page where you could sign up for the newsletter. It is at the bottom of the yellow box.
