Where are the best french fries?

My favorite fries are fresh cut & fried in peanut oil served w/ salt & vin. YummmmO!! However, I can only find fries this good on the OC MD Boardwalk. [We may have drove 7 hours just for these fries a time or 2:rolleyes2]

WDW fries ARE pretty much the same @ counter service restaurants. They are good, but not amazing. Pecos Bills has cheese sauce which makes them even better. Epcot's R&C Pub might be a good place. ;) + I'm pretty sure you can use a snack credit.

Thrashers? with vinegar of course! No ketchup needed! :thumbsup2

OP all CS fries do taste the same. And they can be a hit or a miss depending on how fresh they are!

WPE. Y+Y cs and ts. both these places have shoestring fries. They are really good. The fries at R+C are good too but I never tried them at the fish and chip place. Plaza's fries are great. I don't like the fries at most places.........not only WDW. I just want a piece of potato fried. No coating. DS calls me a fry snob:goodvibes Hey if the shoestring fits:rotfl2:

I just remembered the waffle fries at T-rex or maybe its RFC. I cant remember. But whichever has them they are really good!

I think that just makes you a fry purist! No coating needed just potato and oil and of course some salt! :)

I mean Fan!! I don't know how to edit in the app!

All the CS fries taste the same to me...but the fries from the Plaza in MK are TO DIE FOR!

I have been hearing this a lot about the Plaza fries! Another ADR that I am glad that I made.. I haven't eaten there yet but I am looking forward to trying the fries!

I will third the fries at the UK counter service in Epcot - but call them "chips!"

Most counter service fries are the same - but these are quite different -and delicious!

We don't like the fries at Disney because they are always mushy. After reading some reviews, I'm thinking it's because they sat too long. Wonder how obnoxious it would be to order "fresh fries" when we order? The fries at UK counter service are the only fries we like at Disney. Delicious.

Mmmm... I've never tried the UK fries, so I'll have to try them! Thanks everyone! Also, I may just have to go to Artist Point. I mean, my son needs truffle oil on his fries, right? :cool1:

I like the fries you get with the fish & chips at Raglan Road.

McDonald's french fries are sold at a booth at Animal Kingdom, that might be your best bet for a snack. And I think I've seen them at MK in Frontierland, too.

Edited: I see above McD's fries are gone? Didn't know that.
Here's a look at when McDonald's was at the four WDW parks and Downtown Disney:

http://www.yesterland.com/mcwdw.html

Yes, McDonald's has been gone from inside the Disney parks at WDW since late 2008, almost four years ago.

at Disney since their contract with McDonald's ended have been limp, at best warm and not at all enjoyable. The homemade chips we have had at several places like Trails End are pretty good though :)
