Where are the 1 bedrooms located at Hilton Head?

Hello gang. I am so happy that I was able to change my 2 bedroom villa reservation to a 1 bedroom villa for my anniversary in a few weeks (and got the member discount too). I asked for something that is not handicapped and non-smoking. I think I read on another thread that there are 1 bedrooms and studios under Grand Villas. I would actually prefer a one bedroom in the main lodge. Does anyone know if there are one bedrooms in the main lodge and if they are handicapped or not?

Only 5 of the studios and 1BRs are under the Grand Villas. The rest are in or next to the main lodge. Some are handicapped accessible, most are not.

My guess is, that since you're there before Thanksgiving, there will be several non-smoking, non-handicapped accessible 1BRs available.

There are 21 total 1BR villas. 16 are located in the lodge area and the other 5 under the GV's. Only a few rooms in the lodge are accessible.

Thanks so much for responding to my questions, I appreciate it. I was hoping because this is the week before the holiday, the resort will be quiet and we won't have a problem getting a non-handicap villa. When I called MS a couple of weeks ago to cancel our cruise and book this trip, I was told that there were no one bedrooms available but low and behold, today they had availability. I like to spread out but we don't need accommodations that sleep 8 for just the two of us.

Anyway, thanks again Disneyaholic and Doc for responding. I'm really looking forward to this trip and spending some time alone with my husband!

There are 2 1 BR in the Main Lodge that I'd recommend, both on the third floor, non-HA, non-smoking. #1137 overlooks the woods, interior, we had that last year and loved it; #1138 overlooks the water, inlet, and you can see dolphins from that one sometimes. We're hoping for either one of those next trip.

Thanks Simba's Mom! I will keep these two villa numbers in mind when we check in. It would be great if one of these two were available. I can't wait to get there!
