Where are rider-swap lanyards being given for FoP

***This is NOT a thread for people to debate the use of RS, or talk about how they think it should or should not be used, or was intended to be used.***

Short version: if the queue for FoP is hundreds of people long, at what point are they handing out RS lanyards, or are the NOT doing lanyards for that and are just directing people to request them waaaay further up the queue?

Going to AK with a large group but only planning on touring with BIL/SIL and their 2 kids. I was unable to get FoP fastpasses for any of us (not a surprise.) My tentative plan is to rope drop for DH/BIL/DS1/DS2/Nephew to ride FoP, have them get a RS, and once they have the RS ticket, myself/SIL/DS3(too short)/Neice(too short) ride NRJ, which I WAS able to get fastpasses for. I'm trying to figure out how long my SIL and I will have to stay with the boys in order to get the RS pass.

When I was there in August, they gave out the RS Lanyard right as you entered the "proper" queue where the little podium and shade umbrella are.

I was just going to ask about RS at FOP..... so they do it there too for kids too young to ride? is the procedure the same as all other rides? Our group will have at least one too young to ride when we go, but the rest of us would like to ride. You don't get a swap for babies too young for ticket, right? (under 3)

I have never done RS, but seeing as how I have a 1-year old now, I was under the impression that RS is made for anyone with a child too small to go on a ride.

Based on my experience, it's pretty much the same as other rides. They don't question you too much on why (height, too scared, etc...). You ask for the RS., they want to see the child not riding, they give you the lanyard, and you exchange it for the paper RS pass further into the queue.

Rider swap is available on rides with a height requirement. FoP has a height requirement.

We got rider swap for both FOP and Navi River right when we entered the queue. The Navi experience was odd, to say the least. I went up with my group (we all had fast passes) and asked if they had rider swap because my one year old was asleep in her stroller. The first cast member said yes, but he did not have any lanyards. So he asked the other cast member, who also said he had no lanyards. I said so what do I do? If I miss the fastpass, no big deal but I was not waking her up. He told me we had to wait until they brought more lanyards. So I said, should I just wait? He then had an attitude and asked where the sleeping child was - to which I pointed at our stroller with my husband. He then sort of rolled his eyes and handed me a lanyard he pulled out from a cabinet. I have no idea why he would lie about not having a lanyard.

All that to say - you can get rider swap for FOP at the beginning - they asked to see my too short children and asked who was staying with them (just like any other ride). We got paper fastpasses before boarding the ride.
