Where are all the Red Sox fans???

We're Red Sox fans but we love the Astros too because my cousin is with the Astros now (Dan Wheeler). What an exciting game on Sunday :cool1: Let's hope for another win tonight!!

How Cool! Dan Wheeler is your cousin.

I will never abandon my Tek and the rest of the guys on the Sox. I wore my shirt down there with pride in September and I will continue to wear them with pride! My son and husband have their shirts and hats and nothing will sway them from wearing them or going over to the new champions, whomever they may be. At least the Evil Empire isnt in the race. That just makes me smile!

Another Red Sox fan checking in! We'll be there in November and December this year, wearing our gear like always. I have to say that this year did not hurt so terribly badly. I am still so happy about last year, and we have to share some of the championships with other cities, right?

To keep on Disney topic, we'll be watching to see if Tom Brady is the star of the Disneyworld Super Bowl parade...AGAIN! My DH certainly hopes so!

Red Sox fans are still around! :goodvibes

I am going next week and you can bet I will be wearing a Red Sox tshirt at least once. And every hat I own is Red Sox, so count that in too!

Where is Jennifer48 and her avatar when you need her! It's great!!

Here I am!!

I'm DEFINATELY wearing my Ortiz shirt next week...MVP!! MVP!!!

Us REAL Sox fans will stand by them through thick and thin. No band wagon jumpers here! We're just happy that the Yanks got taken down by Anaheim...sorry, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim :goodvibes

Hey! What about the STL CARDINALS.!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I hope we don't turn out to be the team that makes it to the World Series against Chicago White Sox and Lose! :cold: But were hoping for a win! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hey - we may have been swept, but we can still yell Go Sox (ok white not red....)

We will be there this weekend with our Mueller, Ortiz, and Nixon shirts and our yankeehater.com hats.

I'm actually happy about this year, last year the stress almost killed me! I like all the teams, just hoping for some good games, although the White Sox are my sentimental favorite for this year. A big THANK YOU to the Angels for taking out the evil empire!

To all the life-long White Sox fans, if you do win, believe me, it will be better than you have ever imagined!!!

I've been a Red Sox fan since 1956 and to tell you the truth, after the series win, it seemed like everyone was a Sox fan. Hopefully the bandwagon fan will now disappear and allow us true Red Sox fans to complain and gripe like we always have done. :)
Bill Monbouquette lives in my heart! Go Sox! :)

We saw a TON of Sox stuff when we were there in August. Everyone and their brother seemed to have something with the Red Sox on it.

We saw very few bandwagon jumpers around here-mostly because living in "Yankee Country" the NYC area, wearing a Red Sox hat will get you spit on or stuff thrown at you(as my DH can atest from first hand experience).

Another Red Sox fan checking in. Saw plenty of Sox stuff when we were in the World in September, and plan on wearing some when we return there in December.

Real Sox fans don't disappear just because we're out of the Series!!

My 14 yo DS became a dedicated Red Sox fan when he was 10....his favorite player was Nomar. Still likes Nomar, but when he moved on...my son's heart stayed with Boston! :goodvibes Veritek and Ortiz are his favorites now. For his birthday, he asked for and got the MLB package on the Dish Network that had all MLB games. He watched only the Sox.

Now a question for all you Red Sox fans.....we live way down in Alabama. The only Red Sox stuff I can buy here is the same-ole-same-ole. I would love to get him a T-shirt that says "Who's your Poppy?" He would say that whenever the Sox were in a jam and needed a big play....he swore it put a curse on the other team! LOL :teeth: What is a good website to find such a shirt? I've found a few, but they have other "phrases" I wouldn't want my kid to be wearing!

My DH and DSs, 8 and 4 will be wearing their Red Sox t-shirts and hats during our upcoming trip. Unfortunately, we will be at the World during Jersey Week (didn't know about this when we booked). Fortunately, the Yankees lost!!!!! Please, no flames - we have several good friends from NY/NJ - I just don't think we could take it to be in the midst of hundreds of Yankee fans if they had won it all!!

Yeah right! How about some swamp land... :rolleyes2 I never saw so much new Red Sox gear in all the years I've gone as last year. This year I'll bet my experience will be just like the woman who I spoke with this morning...Not a Red Sox cap, hat, shirt, or jacket in sight!

Anybody see Fever Pitch? It's a great movie that made me laugh & cry!
If you rent it on DVD, be sure to checkout the outtakes.

We won't be there until April  but we're still wearing our Red Sox gear here in Massachusetts. Can't give up on them, they made us all wicked happy in 2004!

If you are looking for Ortiz shirts, they say Papi or Big Papi, not Poppy. Please don't be insulted...I live in MA so see the shirts all the time. Otherwise, I would have thought the spelling the same as you. You could try redsox.com to start or just try "Who's your Papi?" at Google.

As for us, we will be sporting our Red Sox gear in late November, despite not making it to the World Series this year...me in red cap, DS6 in traditional blue, and DD4 in pink.

We would also be the crazy family cheering for the Patriots while in Disney but we have to keep DSis company while BIL watches at ESPN :) Since no Sox (although I am rooting for the White Sox while DS roots for the Angels since they beat the Yankees :) ) then GO PATRIOTS!!

Our group was sporting a few new hats & shirts. Many of the old, or BEST, caps were semi-retired as having been the Championship caps! DS16 even wrote an essay extolling the 'adventures' of his, weatherbeaten, dirty RED SOX cap!
He prides himself on his 'collection' of RED SOX caps & shirts, old worn favs & crisp newbies!

I had my Red Sox Sweatshirt on today, no bandwagon here I'm a fan win or lose. Keep an eye out K5thbeatle I'll be there the same week you are.
