Where are all the Louisiana WDW lovers? UPDATED 1ST POST WITH DATES!

My husband and I went to Christ the King. I knew a few kids that lived on Goucher Street.

I must say, that it is so wonderful to see so many Westbankers here (current and former). I wonder why is that that we all fell in love with Disney?? (Must have been something in the water :rotfl: )

I went to church at Christ the King, and I was married there. I grew up in Terrytown, went to Aurora Gardens and Blenk for HS.

We go next week July 1st-8th Can't WAIT !!!:yay:

I can't believe all of the "best bankers" on this board ! It's incredible !!!

What's up with the boards today this is the second time today I've seen someone quote my post and it shows up before my post........:confused3

The threads are acting weird. OK, I'm posting this after your comment about the weirdness and watch it will post before your comment, I bet.

:worried:

I'm a Blenk grad, too! Sad that it closed:sad: (or should I say "merged").

Anyway, hope you have a magical time on your upcoming trip! pixiedust:

I know. The closing ceremony was soooo sad.
I had a brick in the courtyard and dug it up as a souvenir. I think you were also posting on NOLA as Terrytown Girl when we were all argueing on the boards there to keep Blenk alive?

I see you are going over Thanksgiving. We've done that twice and that is an awesome time of year to go. I am a teacher so it's either summer or holidays for us. This year we opted for the summer. It will be hot, but it's Disney, so who cares, right?

Oh, I'm class of '83 !!

That's right... just 14 days and this Slidell girl will be giddy with excitement entering the gates of the Magic Kingdom! :yay: POFQ July 13-19. Anybody else going to be at POFQ that week?

Excited for you!!!! Please let me know how POFQ is, we're going for the first time in Nov.:thumbsup2

We live in Harahan and are traveling to DisneyWorld December 7 - 12. Staying at the Coronado Springs. :lovestruc

Past trips September 1979, December 1990, May 1992, December 2005, April 2008.

Where do I find the lime green Mickeys?::yes::

How was your trip, SnowWhite607?
Everyone thinks we are crazy to go next week. They say the heat and crowds will be horrible. We're used to the heat, and I know it will be crowded, but lots of people are coming back saying it hasn't been too bad. What did you think?

OK, it put this post above what I was replying too. :badpc:

Yep, that was me on nola. And I'm class of '84 (Gee, really, really small world!)

We went last June because my dd's dance school participated in the Magic Music Days and danced on stage at the Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland. Was a lot of fun, but very hot. So, we debated going either for Mardi Gras or Thanksgiving. Since November comes before February, Thanksgiving won! :rotfl:

You'll have a great time, I'm sure. Like you said, it's Disney (and being from NO, you're no stranger to heat and humidity).
