Where and when of TIW

do you need to activate your AP to purchase? We are going to AK for our first evening, can we activate our AP there and purchase a TWI card or is there another place we need to go to activate and purchase TWI?

Once you get your AP you can go to any guest relations window. Actually, the last time I renewed ours was at the guest relations just inside the AK turnstiles. They were very nice and the line wasn't nearly as long as they tend to be at MK.

TiW needs to be purchased at Guest Relations. You can go to the one at AK to activate your AP and buy TiW at the same time.
