I'm taking my mom to Disney World in December for her first visit. We are both lovers of fruity alcoholic drinks! Tell me where at Disney to find the best ones - sit down restaurants, resort bars, counter service, pool bars, etc. What's your favorite and where do you get it??

I suspect everyone will agree that the bar at Ohana is inside the Polynesian is the best choice. They have every frozen concoction you can think of, possibly served in a pineapple, with the little umbrella sticking out of it. I think that is what you are looking for.

Sounds awesome! We're having my birthday dinner at O'hana, so we could definately stop by the bar before or after for some yummy drinks! (We'll be staying at the Poly then.) Any particular favorties there I should try?

If you like peach try the Bellini at Alfredos @ Epcots WS. These are so GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

We sat in comfy chairs outside O'hana's while waiting for dinner. I had a great fruity drink at the bar there.

I like the Victoria Falls Mist at AKL and the Margaritas from Cantina San Angel at Epcot :)

The Lapu Lapu at the Poly is my favorite! It's served in a hollowed-out pineapple, and topped with 151 rum!! I think it's about $9, but I have to get one every time anyway! ::yes::

If you're eating at 'Ohana, you can actually take advantage of the fruity drinks from the Tambu Lounge while eating in the restaurant. Same goes for Kona Cafe - they both get their yummy fruity drinks from that bar.

I totally agree with the Lapu Lapu. Yum! I also had a drink called Island Sunset (rum, melon, peach and some other fruit juice) that was great. The Backscratcher is great too (although I don't know if that qualifies as a fruity drink .. it did have juice in it. lol)

They also make a mean Pina Colada. I'm gettin' thirsty. :teeth:

The Island Sunset was very good. We tried most of the drinks  on their specialty menu and were quite pleased by all!!!

My favorite place is just off site. Bahama Breeze juices fresh fruit to create its fabulous fruit drinks. Everything else will pale in comparison. Their Bahamarita uses pureed strawberries, kiwi and mango.

Onsite, My hubby loved his bucket of Maitai at the beach bar at the Polynesian. They mix a great drink and put it in a child's sand pail, complete with an attached shovel. You can't beat sipping this drink on the beach while MK's fireworks go off in the distance.

You can read about Ohana's drinks at the menus at Deb's site (allearsnet.com)....just go to menus of the world, and click on resorts, Ohana, and enjoy from there.

I almost feel like I need a counter for my first Lapu Lapu, I'm so taken with the description!

I'm sure other restaurants' drinks are described as well (I've seen them, but Ohana stood out in my mind).

Kris

If you do like Pina Coladas, try a 'Tradewinds" at Tambu Lodge. We tried a couple of drinks there, and they were all excellent.

I just found my new favorite last month at Epcot! :teeth:

Check out the stand in Morocco that sells frozen drinks. I had a delicious Tangerine Daiquiri that was awesome! I also enjoyed a Strawberry Margarita from a stand right next to Cantina
de San Angel in Mexico. They had a bigger variety here than the Cantina (Cantina only had the lime.)

Have fun!!! :teeth:
