Whens better end of April or end of May

I'm torn about visiting April 20-30 or May 20-30

The rates in April seem to be a bit higher then May. But there is a chance of catching Mardi Gras in April. The weather in May might be better, and the prices a little cheaper, but the parks probaly close earlier. April will have Grad nights in April. I would prefer avoiding that.

I need help deciding. Is there anything special in May, or does anyone prefer May to April.

I wouldn't have thought crowd wise it will be much different - end or May will probably be warmer though.
