How does this work?
We've never sailed with friends before and we have a trip planned for 2017.
Since we will get to book things before them, how do we make sure we'll still be able to do things together? Also, how do we make sure we are seated together for dinner?

We've talked about wanting to do the mixology classes and excursions together and also the meet and greets and character breakfast for the kids. Thanks in advance for the help!!

1/ link reservations. by travel agent/ online, / to DCL.
- you then will sit together.
2/ each stateroom can book online activities by the highest ranked castaway club member in that stateroom.
- so stateroom one, 1 Silver, rest new, you book online st silver window.
- this is per stateroom, so if those in a second stateroom are all new, then you book yours at silver, and they book theirs at 75 days.

Can we do this even if we are using different travel agencies? They are using AAA and we are using Dreams Unlimited
Yes, in order to link your reservations, each of you must have the other's reservation number to give to your respective TAs. Then the TAs contact DCL to have the link made.

On note, if you link before you book excursions, only one of you may be online at a time booking excursions. Some people wait until after they've booked their excursions to link. Others, it's not as critical.

Yes, they are in a separate stateroom. So there is no way to book our activities together unless my family waits for them?
If your reservations are linked before your window opens, when you go to book excursions you will be asked who you want to include in the reservation and everyone's name will be listed. However, those whose window have not opened yet will be grayed out and you will not be able to select them.

Once their window opens, you can go back to your reservation and see if there is still availability for those excursions you want everyone on. If so, add them. If not, you may need to reschedule in order to include everyone. Or just let each room book their own excursions for whenever they can get them.

That is correct. I would recommend booking yours when you window opens, and have them book theirs as soon as their window opens. I've had this same experience in the past and have never had an issue. Of course, I can't guarantee that you will have the same experience, but I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult to book the same excursion times.
