I just check my reservation for this weekend, and my rate with Dollar went down $8.

What do I do? cancel, and rebook? Is thre a better way to adjust the existing res?

What do you all do?

Just pull up your reservation. I think there is a box on there that is change rate or change reservation just click on it and it will adjust the rate.

I usually book with National. When rates change I book a new reservation and cancel my old one because I have heard of others having problems with the "modify" option on National's website.

With Alamo I simply modified the existing reservation. Initially it did not show the reduced rate. Then I changed the drop off time a half hour later and it did reflect the new, lower rate. No problems or hassles whatsoever.
