I only know that because I thought it had to stand for something, so I googled DIS. somewhere near the top is a link to www.wdwinfo.com with the title "Disney Information Station"

Well, I've been referring to them for years as the DIZ boards (short for Disney) but about a year ago, my husband started referring to them as the Dizzy boards-- as in all the planning I do off of these boards makes him dizzy!

That's a slight coincidence - before I looked up what it stands for using Google, I also thought it stood for Disney Information Service

Doesn't sto be calling it Diz though
