When you stayed at WL...

What is this doing way back on page 3? This will not do. I love reading this thread, it's like being able to catalogue shop for a room.

LOL, I agree!!! I am taking notes

Room 7043 (Concierge)
Courtyard view
Queen bed/Bunk Beds
Enclosed balcony - liked the privacy but didn't like not being able to sit and look out.
Non-smoking

The room was extremely quiet as it was at the end of the hall, we could sneak out into the hall and view the fireworks at MK through hall windows. We could see the geyser go off and watch the Electric Water Pageant from the balcony.

Ejaye - if you have kids, I would drop the Silver Plan if you stay Concierge. We ate most breakfasts and a couple of light dinners at the Concierge buffet. Lots of snacks too! I started out with the Silver plan and saved money by dropping it and going with Concierge. I'm glad I did.

Concierge and gift shop staff were great. We didn't have a great experience with the grumpy lady at the front desk.

We just returned last night (10/25/03) from our first WL stay. We were in room 5010 and it was wonderful--we had a view of the Contemporary and the castle through the trees--could see the fireworks from our balcony. The otter pond was just a little way over to the left of our balcony--we did not see any otters. We could not see the EWP but we sure could hear it!! This room had 2 queens and was an adjoining room if anyone is interested. We thought that it was the perfect location--short walk down hallway to elevator down to Roaring Forks, pool or out to buses or boat. We have not stayed in a Deluxe before because we always thought that it was not worth the extra $$ since we are seldom in the room/resort--but now we say we will definitely stay at the WL again because it was so nice to not have to walk outside to refill our mugs like you do at the moderates.

Also, the boat transportation was great--the bus system could at times be unpredictable, but still was no trouble.

...you had a great time, jmommy! Please be sure to posts some comments on the "Like the Phoenix...." WL FAQ thread!:wave2: And, we'd sure love to see pix if you can scan 'em!

We will be moving to the front page. Please remain sitting until we come to a complete stop.

Room 5116, Woodsview, Nonsmoking, Bunk Beds - This room was in the South Wing facing the Villas. I found it convenient to the elevators/lobby, though very quiet. However, next time I'd insist on the North Wing, as it is closer to Roaring Forks and Pool. Was also glad we didn't pay for the upgrade to Woodsview - would not be worth the extra $ IMHO.

My driving's not as competent as Florida Cat's, so you might want to hang on while we move on up.

We stayed at WL 9/18/03-9/23/03. Room # 6025. Had reserved a standard and was upgraded to courtyard view. Great room. View of all: pool, waterfall, hottubs and lake. King bed, smoking optional. Balcony was great and private. No noise. Would love to go back and have same room. Close to all. Have stayed at all deluxe, but Contemporary. This was great... even compared to Poly LV concierge.:love2:

Room 6140

The view was the Villa pools, path, and to the left the lagoon
This was a bunkbed/Queen room.

I was in room 5034. Woods view. Overlooking the Otter Pond.
I saw the otter on two occasions!! He was adorable, swimming around and feeding. I had a great view of the castle, fireworks, monorail and partial view of the canal. I could see the boats moving back and forth. I loved my balcony and utilized it as much as I could. I also brought binoculars, so I could view the wildlife and the castle up close. Because I was at the end of the hall on the north side, I also had an open side to my balcony which opened up to the service area. I didnt look down much at that, but it sure gave you a broader view of the sky when looking towards the right hand side. So I guess I had more of a view because of that opening. I did get the aromas of roaring forks cooking the food.

I had two queen size beds, Non Smoking.

Only problem though, my neighbors ( room 5032) smoked like chimneys on their balcony and the smoke was very offensive to me. It drove me and my son back into my room. I thought about complaining, but I let it go. I dont understand why people get non smoking and then smoke anyway. I peeked in their balcony and saw a drinking glass with water full of cigarette butts, EWWWWWWW. I guess they wanted the view and knew it was non smoking only. Maybe I should have said something. I was always down wind of the smoke. In the future, if that should ever happen again, I will say something, cause thats why they have designated smoking sections of the hotel.

I was at the end of the hall right across from the elevator which made it very convenient to roaring forks and the pool. I would definetly request this area again sans smoking neighbors.

Just back too!

We had room 7044 concierge level. They were going to give us a courtyard view but we really wanted a view of the castle and fireworks so we opted for the MK side. We could see both the castle and fireworks from our room as well as the Contemporary and a bit of the Poly on the far left. Below us was the smokehouse area and on the right was the otter pond (at least I think that's what it was) It was non smoking, 2 queens and was close to the elevator that is near the Roaring Fork. We were right around the corner from the Yosemite suite.

Also, I just looked at my stuff from last year and we had room 5120 which was a woodsview, non-smoking bunkbed room facing the villas. It was nice, but I definitely preferred being on the north side of the resort.

Hi Starz,
I am a smoker and thought I would tell you that I tried to get a smoking room in WL. The CM said none were available and this was in Dec 2002 for our Nov2003 trip. They said that we could smoke outside on the balcony. All of outside, is smoking at the resorts. I don't know if this is true or not.

So maybe they tried to get a smoking room. Please no flames, that is just what I was told.:wave2: :wave2:

ROOM 4147

Hi All!

We were in room 4147, courtyard view, we had a perfect view of pool right below us, and hot tubs! We could also watch EWP from our balcolny! It was non-smoking, and had 2 Queen beds! I was a hike, might be kind of far for little ones, but a nice quiet room!!

Shopgirl:earsgirl:

HI..No problem. I understand.

Im not totally certain, but I think there may be designated smoking areas outside the lodge. I would notice people smoking in certain spots where there were ashtrays.

The Magic Kingdom smoke free except for designated smoking areas. I think the other parks as well.

Have a magical time:sunny: You will adore WL.

Keep those posts coming:jumping1: :happy1: :happy1:
