I know! It's always overlooked! But consider this...some people will say "If it's a boy I notice..." and "If it's a girl I notice..." This is pointing out the fact that you first have to notice whether it's a girl or boy before noticing what it is you "first" notice. lol.

Also consider this...when you see someone, if you see a person with an unsure gender, you might find yourself thinking "Oh my gosh! Is that a girl or a boy?" And then you start nudging your friends to take a look at that person over there to ask them if that's a girl or boy - you are stumped by your first impression of the person...gender recognition. Recognizing gender first allows us then the options of reaction. Once you determine whether it's a girl or boy, you then react to what else you notice...eyes, height, etc. You can't notice these things though until after you notice who it is you're looking at.

So if people try to tell you that their first impression of someone they are with is based entirely off of personality...yeah, don't believe it haha. Looks are ALWAYS the first impression (unless...of course...you are talking to someone you aren't looking at haha i.e. the internet or phone). lol.
