Oh, those elusive dates! Been there...done that! The only way I was successful was constant stalking. I've never done a waitlist in this scenario, where the sought for date fell in the middle, but I guess you could do one for the day and always have MS combine the dates after.

Waitlist and stalk but do backup first for the night - is there any other room open at the resort you are trying for, for just the one night? Then you could do waitlist with 'replace this booking'.

Yes, I did that just in case but would definitely be a pain to pack up for that last night but you never know. I stalk several times a day. Just prior to 30 day mark, I think I'll see a lot of movement.
