when you go to crops....

I save the really important pics for 1-2 pics in a layout, or if I only have 1 pic like my Italy Pavilion page. I'm not crazy about single pic layouts myself.

If you need any more help, or get stuck on a page, just give us a shout. Everyone here is super friendly.

StitchIsOurHero cranks out the pages! And does amazing work.

Thanks, but I'm nowhere near as good as y'all! And remember, I just have DH to contend with (and he loves that he gets to play videogames while I scrap!! :rotfl2: ). If we ever have kids, then I'll never get caught up!! ;)

StitchIsOurHero
Kids have that tendancy to cut into the time, but I wouldn't trade them.
I need those crank out the page vibes any hints that I haven't already been given. Buffy has been awesome to me!! as has everyone else.:woohoo:

As for multiple pics on a page check out these, all 4x6 some cropped and all Becky Higgins sketches:
Buffy,

I think I've got you beat on most pictures on a layout. This one has 28 pictures! All were 4x6 cut down to 2x2. :thumbsup2

I normally never use that many but I scraplifted the idea from someone on the Cricut board and it worked well with IASW because I had TONS of photos from that ride.

that is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

I LOVE IT!

Where is the Cricut board?

I just went to a big crop. I actually don't mind packing up for a crop. It doesn't take me very long....for the longest time I didn't have a crop space so I lived out of my bags. Now I have a space but I am still in that mind set....
I keep all of my paper in cropper hopper things that fit inside my xl crop in style bag.
I have this great caddy bag I bought at Mike's last year. It holds all my tools and adhesives along with pens, hammer etc.....So that is usually simi ready to go all the time. Must say it is my favorite thing I ever purchased!
Then I have a tool box plastic holder thing. It is for screws and bolts. I have that loaded with all kinds of stuff....very easy to take.
I keep all of my rub ons and stickers in either a binder or document box. I just grab them.
So all that goes with me.
Before the crop I will sort my pictures and decide what I want to work on. I then look through the other draws, bins etc that I have to see if there is anything else I might need. I usually never bring my quickutz or that type of stuff. Maybe some stamps if I think I will actually use them....but most of the time they stay home.....
Off I go. Takes about 20 minutes to set up my area. 2 hours to chat with everyone before I start to scrap...then an hour to wonder around....then I scrap! LOL! Needless to say anymore I go for the weekend style crops! just so I get something done!
So at an over night crop I will complete about 20 layouts.

That's me living out of bags! My double duty space is right now in the middle of a log cabin quilt. since I've only got 1/8th of my squares done it will be that way for a while. I am slowly paring down through things will all the advice that I've been given here. I buy a lot of stack paper do you pull them apart to single sheets or leave them in the pack and put that in the bin. Pictures are sorted through (thanks to my lovely cold I was up at 4 am) so I'm considering the paper storage/ sorting next. All the single sheets that I've one as door prizes I have sorted by type now I'm trying to decide If I should invest in a couple more paper takers and pull the stacks apart. Stickers will be the next thing and I have a few extra 3 ring binders kicking around that I'll buy some inserts for. My goal is the rolling crop in style bag and messenger bag for the actual scrapbook stuff and the smaller rolling case for the stamping stuff. I'll get there yet.
Thanks for the advice.

Yep, you've got me beat all right Yzer!!! I love the layout!!!! Mind if I scraplift it?
Go ahead. Like I said, I scraplifted it from someone else. :) HERE is the original layout from the Cricut message board. I'm going to add some paper dolls to mine once I get the cartridge, but its not out here yet.

Paper:
Well I know I have way too much paper! LOL

All the colors are sorted as follows, in Cropper Hoppers, 8 1/2 x 11 solid, 8 1/2 x 11 patterned, 12x12 pattern, 12x12 solid, scraps. Colors I have now, purple, pink, red, blue, green, yellow, black, brown, white, orange, green, grey, Disney, Holidays, seasons, vellum, misc, and 1 hopper dedicated to Daisy D's and Basic Grey papers, those I keep grouped by paper line.

I take all my stacks apart, but that's just me.

I use the Creative Memories 12 inch deco file folders for scraps. They have 2 pockets so large scraps go in the larger pocket and small ones go in the 1/2 pocket. The great thing is that they fit right inside the cropper hopper.

the paper is on the bottom.

All my embellishemnents are in binders with page protectors. I use the 8 1/2 x 11, the 4x6 pockets, and the baseball card pare protectors (PP's). Divided by:
Disney by park
3 binders for characters
holiday
season
kids
rub-ons
alphabets
etc.....

the PP's droop a bit but it works for now since I have such a small space.

Joyah,
It depends with my paper. I don't buy many paper stacks but when I do I keep them together. They just kind of slide into the bag.
One of the best systems I saw at the crop I just went to, they had all of their paper in upright 12x12 files She then had one of those fold up crates on wheels you get from the hard ware store. It held all of her papercrates perfectly. So when the crop was over she just lifted the paper files out and put them back in her space. She had most of her stuff in that type of containers she could just stack it on the her carts and wheel it out.

I am a very basic scrapper. I had tons of embellishments. Stuff I bought cause it was cute, special...you know the deal...took up a ton of room in my house and storage. I would never think to use it! LOL! Looked best I guess in the packaging...But about a month ago I said this was nuts. I scrapped like crazy and use all of it! I now have a draw that has nothing in it! So most of my stuff now fits in to my tool box thing.

It was from your picture that got me thinking about the paper organization. Once again your organization amazes me. I'm striving for it. Last nights 1 am cold wake up call accomplished A LOT of the paper sorting. I had some 8.5X11 paper so I stuck that in page protectors by color and put it in a Mickey photo album. This weekend I have to get the boys more baseball card protectors so I'll get my self some for the stickers. Since I haven't had the chance to get they store yet (and the boys riffled through the bag) i took my lose 12x12 and put them in the extra top load refils I had.
But I will be getting some of those plastic ones you have, if I can find them around here.

Embelishments other than stickers and stamps are still a mystery to me but I'm sure they'll be along shortly Mom's headed to Boston for the weekend and stops at Micheal's in Concord NH so tuesday of next week I'm sure I'll be reorganizing again (some how I got stuck carting it all)
Thank you both!!!

Thank you both!!!

I got the plastic drawers at Joann Fabrics, and the cropper hoppers from ACMoore and I think Michael's has them too. The binders and page protectors where the least expensive at Walmart.

Buffy
Thanks for the direction. Our Joann's stincks but is still on the list of errands as they are still doing the 5/$1 sale, other than that I've got Walmart. All else falis mom can get them at Joanns

have mom get a coupon if you can, the drawers were somewhere around $60. But the nice thing is that the drawers actually come out and have a lid. You could use those to kit pages too and just bring the whole thing with you.

WOW this cold have kicked my butt!!

That last post didn't even make sense, no more multi tasking for me today!!!
I meant Micheals for all else fails. Hopefully the the boston papers will have some coupons this weekend and she can stop there on her way home.
I think lunch time is going to be nap time instead:surfweb: :coffee: , my supervisors already promised to slam around the office this afternoon to keep me up then he told me I could go home if I wanted. He was surprised I made it through the week.
